Overall: Campus and facilities The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University has one of the most versatile campus that I ever came across. It spreads over a vast area of around 260 acres. The infrastructure and architecture of the university is worth mentioning. First and foremost the huge central library is a big attraction. The library is a perfect combination of digital and traditional reading. It has a vast collection of thesis and books as well as an online app that helps to access the library from anywhere. It has a huge seating capacity and in my opinion it can easily accommodate more than 500 readers at a time. The computer centre is another famous campus facility that students appreciate. It has some of the latest electronic devices and desktops that students and staff can use when needed. One exception about our computer centre is that also offers a special Diploma in Computer Application course. When it comes to the CSJMU healthcare facilities, I have not seen such intricate medical aid in any of my previous educational institutions. The university has a Yoga centre and a Happiness centre. Apart from this, it also has OPD facilities from ENT to psychiatry and from Dental to surgery. The university also has around 10 beds, testing facilities for X-Ray, Minor OT tests, etc. A 24/7 ambulance service is also available. When it comes to hostels, CSJMU has total 6 hostels. Out of these, 4 are for females and 2 are for males. The hostels are well-equipped and maintained. They are comfortable, safe, and spacious. The canteen and mess facilities are absolutely amazing. Hygienic food for all meals is prepared freshly. Lastly, I would like to mention the in-campus banking and ATM convenience since students need to withdraw cash every now and then. Placements The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University placements usually have a good rate. The university has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell. Along with this, there is also an Entrepreneur Cell. These cells conduct all placement related activities. They train and educate students about the selection process. Group discussions, mock interviews, video conferencing, skill development, and personality enhancement programmes are executed. Students at CSJMU are constantly kept at par with the current industry trends and the corporate world. They are transformed into confident individuals. The university has a Student Start-up Promotion Policy since 2019. This helps the budding minds to turn their valuable start-up ideas into reality. This policy helps students in various steps provided the ideas seem feasible. I and my friends also have availed of this policy. As soon as we enter into our final years, the teachers and members of the placement cells are there to assist us. They start grooming each child at a rapid pace. Many top companies visit the campus for placements every year. Some of the famous recruiters at CSJMU are ICICI Bank, Wipro, Byjus, Tata Consultancy Services, Reliance, All India Radio, Aajtak, Glenmark, etc. The placement packages vary each year as per the overall economic position. However, the previous year average placement offer was for Rs 3 lakh per annum.
