What is RF Mode at KAU?

RF Mode (Revolving Fund Mode) at Kerala Agricultural University refers to self-financed programmes that are not part of the regular government-funded or ICAR-regulated admission process. Under the RF Mode:

  • Admissions are conducted through KAU’s own process, mainly based on CUET PG scores.
  • If seats remain after that, they may also be filled using marks from the qualifying degree.
  • These programs are open to a wider range of science graduates, not only those from agriculture backgrounds.
  • In this mode, the course is run through a “revolving fund,” meaning the fees paid by students are used again to manage and continue the program.
  • Due to the self-financed structure, fee relaxations for reserved categories are generally not available, unlike regular ICAR-based programmes at KAU.
