The Kerala Agricultural University campus provides the staff and students with a range of infrastructure and amenities, including a prayer atrium and a library with a wide collection of literature. Along with other amenities, the university has lecture halls and separate hostels for boys and females. The Kerala Agricultural University campus also offers bookstores, shopping rooms, ATMs, a swimming pool, Wi-Fi, and other amenities to fulfil the needs of professors and students. The college also provides candidates with athletic facilities. Every year, the students compete in inter- and intra-college sporting events and win most of them.
Overall: This college will be a variety experience for those who are studying in this college. There are a few students, so each and every one knows each other very well. Most of the students are staying in hostels and only 5 percent of the total students are day scholars. The all-India tour, which is a part of the curriculum and farm and all other experiences may lead us to develop a good personality.
Placement: Most of the students in KCAET were well placed in food industries such as Hatsun, Jubilant Food Works, Kohinoor, etc. But most of them opted for higher studies in foreign countries such as New Zealand, Canada and Australia. However, it's our honour to be blessed with good alumni. The salary packages offered were decent and ranged between 1.5 LPA to 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college is situated on the banks of Bharathappuzha. The college is situated in a 100 hector area and there are 3 buildings for classrooms, one library building and one college canteen. There is also a Krishi Vijnaan Kendra. The computer lab has its own Wi-Fi network. There is a large playground and the sports and games are also given importance as the academics. There is also a ladies hostel and a men's hostel. The hostel rooms are good. Food is also good. All the books are available in the library. There are also labs for each main course and workshops too.
Faculty: Mainly, 4 departments are here. All the teachers are good and qualified, and almost all the teachers possess a doctorate. We have industrial visits related to our subjects, and most of the theory papers have practical sessions in our syllabus. In one department, there are many guest lectures as well.
Hostel: clean and comfortable accommodations, secure facilities, a friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Additionally, amenities like communal spaces, Wi-Fi, and helpful staff contribute to a positive hostel experience.
Overall: I took admission in the B.Tech course at the university and I can say that it was one of my best decisions. The professors and other staff of the university are really supportive. Additionally, the university hosts all kinds of cultural events, from Christmas celebrations to annual cultural events, with fanfare. One may claim that the campus is entirely secular. All students have access to the programmes. Additionally, there are freshers as well as farewell events for the students.
Placement: The training and placement department of Kerala Agricultural University is quite active since it informs students of available jobs and offers a variety of training sessions and workshops to help students strengthen their technical and soft skills. The university wants to position as many students as possible by conducting on-campus and off-campus interviews with reputable businesses.
