MMMUT Gorakhpur Cutoff 2025: JEE Main, CUET, & MET Ranks

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, has released the cutoff 2025 for B.Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA, and B.Pharma admissions for the 2025–26 session on its official admission portal at mmmut.admissions.nic.in.

For BTech, MMMUT uses JEE Main cutoffs ranging from 62,179 (CSE, Home State, Round 1) to 1,84,885 (Chemical Engineering, All India, Round 4) across 4 counselling rounds. MMMUT also accepts CUET UG scores for some selected BTech branches, where cutoffs ranged from 8 (CSE) to 257 (Chemical Engineering).

For BBA and BPharma, MMMUT uses CUET UG scores, BBA closed between 72 and 865 and BPharma between 25 and 627. For MBA and MCA, MMMUT uses CUET (PG) scores. The MBA cutoff ranged from 37 to 156, and the MCA cutoff ranged from 1 to 30,781 across three rounds. For M.Tech and M.Sc, MMMUT conducts its own MET (Malaviya Entrance Test) and releases a merit list instead of a rank-based cutoff; GATE-qualified candidates get preference over MET candidates in seat allotment.

MMMUT accepts JEE Main scores for BTech admission through 2 quotas, All India (AI) and Home State (HS, UP domicile only). Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology JEE Main cutoffs are released as closing ranks after each of the four counselling rounds on the official portal at mmmut.admissions.nic.in. CSE is the most competitive branch across both quotas in every round.

MMMUT Gorakhpur JEE Main Cutoff 2025 (All India)

MMMUT JEE Main 2025 closing ranks for the Open category ranged from 66,331 (CSE, Round 1) to 1,84,885 (Chemical Engineering, Round 4). MMMUT BTech CSE closing rank was 93,141 in Round 4.

MMMUT fills 10% of its B.Tech seats through the All India (AI) quota via JEE Main. The table below shows the Round 1 to Round 4 closing ranks for the Open (General) category under the All India quota. 

MMMUT Gorakhpur JEE Main Cutoff 2025 (Home State)

MMMUT JEE Main Home State Quota closing ranks ranged from 62,179 (CSE, Round 1) to 1,61,503 (Chemical Engineering, Round 4). The Home State quota at MMMUT is open to UP domicile candidates only and accounts for the bulk of B.Tech seats.

In Round 4, MMMUT JEE Main reserved category ranks ranged from 85,307 (EWS, CSE) to 7,81,298 (ST, Chemical Engineering). SC students had a wide range, as Chemical Engineering closed at 4,95,333. The table below shows the Round 4 final closing rank for each branch across these categories. 

MMMUT Gorakhpur JEE Main Female Category Cutoff 2025

MMMUT JEE Main Female supernumerary seats closed between 77,415 (OPEN Girl, CSE) and 6,13,855 (SC Girl, Chemical Engineering) in Round 4. These supernumerary seats are for female candidates across all categories under the Home State quota. These seats are over and above the main intake and are filled separately based on JEE Main rank.

MMMUT JEE Main cutoff for the All India Open category final round ranged from 72,956 (CSE, 2023) to 1,84,885 (Chemical Engineering, 2025) across the three years. MMMUT BTech CSE cutoff has tightened steadily from 72,956 in 2023 to 76,643 in 2025. ECE and IT also show consistent tightening, while Civil and Chemical Engineering cutoffs improved significantly. Civil moved from 4,09,493 in 2023 to 1,84,378 in 2025, indicating a growing demand for these branches at MMMUT.

MMMUT accepts CUET UG scores for admission to B.Tech (select branches), B.Pharma, and BBA for the 2025–26 session. Cutoffs are released as closing scores after each counselling round on the official portal at mmmut.admissions.nic.in. All scores below are CUET UG scores under the Home State quota.

MMMUT Gorakhpur BTech Cutoff (OPEN Category)

MMMUT B.Tech CUET UG cutoff 2025 for the OPEN category ranged from 8 (CSE, Round 1) to 257 (Chemical Engineering, Round 3). CUET UG-based B.Tech admission at MMMUT is limited to select branches only. CSE and Electrical Engineering filled in Round 1 itself, while Chemical Engineering seats extended to Round 3.

MMMUT Gorakhpur BPharma Cutoff 2025

MMMUT BPharma cutoff 2025 ranged from 25 (OPEN Girl, Round 1) to 627 (ST, Round 3) based on CUET UG scores. The programme filled across all three rounds, with the OPEN category closing at 42 in Round 1 and extending to 104 by Round 3 as more candidates participated in later rounds.

MMMUT Gorakhpur BBA Cutoff 2025

MMMUT BBA cutoff 2025 ranged from 72 (OPEN Girl, Round 1) to 865 (BC, Round 3) based on CUET UG scores. Among all CUET UG-based programmes at MMMUT, BBA was the most competitive — OPEN category closed at 244 in Round 1 and reached 511 by Round 3. SC and ST seats were filled in Round 1 and Round 3, respectively, without extending further.

MMMUT Gorakhpur MBA Cutoff 2025 

MMMUT MBA cutoff 2025 ranged from 37 (OPEN, Round 1) to 156 (SC, Round 1) based on CUET (PG) rank. The counselling was conducted in 3 rounds. The OPEN category closed at rank 50 by Round 3, making it competitive for a government university MBA. Below are all the 3-round cutoffs for all categories:

MMMUT Gorakhpur MCA Cutoff 2025 

MMMUT MCA cutoff 2025 ranged from 1 (OPEN AF, Round 1) to 30,781 (BC, Round 3) based on CUET (PG) rank. The counselling runs across 3 rounds. OPEN category closed at 3,785 in Round 1 and moved to 20,617 by Round 3, showing steady demand across all rounds.

MMMUT conducts its own entrance exam, MET (Malaviya Entrance Test), for the MTech and MSc admission. Instead of publishing the cutoff, the university releases the merit list based on MET scores. GATE-qualified candidates are given preference over MET (Malaviya Entrance Test) candidates during seat allotment.

Several factors determine how MMMUT B.Tech cutoffs move each year. Understanding these helps candidates predict whether 2026 cutoffs will tighten or relax.

• JEE Main difficulty level: An easier JEE Main produces more high-scoring candidates, compressing ranks in the top bands and making cutoffs tighter for competitive branches like CSE.
• Total JEE Main applicants: The number of JEE Main qualified candidates has grown year on year. More applicants in the UP home state pool mean more competition for HS quota seats.
• Seat matrix changes: If MMMUT increases seats in a popular branch, closing ranks typically relax. Any new branch addition (such as the IoT specialisation in ECE) draws demand away from existing branches.
• Student preference patterns: As MMMUT's reputation grows — especially after NIRF Engineering rankings — more students list it higher in their choice preferences, pushing cutoffs up.
• Number of counselling rounds: MMMUT conducts 5 rounds. Later rounds see relaxed cutoffs as top-ranked students confirm seats elsewhere (NITs, IITs) and vacate MMMUT seats.
• Availability of comparable options: When IIT/NIT/IIIT cutoffs improve, some students who would have joined MMMUT CSE leave, which relaxes the closing rank here.
