MITS School of Biotechnology Admission 2026-27 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

MITS School of Biotechnology admissions 2026-27 are open for B.Sc., B.C.A., and M.Sc. programmes. Applications begin on 1st April 2026 and close on 1st August 2026. Admission is granted on a merit basis through career marking, followed by a Personal Interview, with no written entrance exam required. Direct admission is offered at the college level, and seats can be booked from 1st March with a non-refundable payment of INR 10,000.

For UG programmes, B.Sc. Biotechnology (Hons.) requires 10+2 Science with a minimum of 50%, while B.Sc. ITM requires 10+2 Science with a minimum of 45% aggregate. B.C.A. eligibility requires 10+2 Science, Arts, or Commerce with Mathematics. For PG programmes, both M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Applied Microbiology require a B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology or Microbiology.

The college offers a combined intake of 564 seats across five courses. B.Sc. Biotechnology (Hons.) has the highest intake at 180 seats, followed by B.C.A. and B.Sc. ITM at 128 seats each, while M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Applied Microbiology each admit 64 students.

Counselling is conducted through Personal Interview at the Admission Cell, with sessions commencing in the first week of August. Required documents include 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets, College Leaving Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Migration Certificate, and 8 passport-size photographs. Graduation certificates and mark sheets are additionally required for M.Sc. applicants.
