The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai, require candidates to possess a Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized university or institute. Additionally, applicants must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in their LL.M. program. Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE or have an M.Phil. degree are exempted from the entrance test. The university may also consider candidates with significant research experience or exceptional academic credentials on a case-by-case basis.
