LPU offers more than 150 courses, and there are certain eligibility criteria that a student is required to meet to take admission. In general, the score in the previous qualification should be as required as per eligibility mentioned on the website. In addition to that, the candidate needs to qualify LPUNEST to get admission to courses like B.Tech., MBA, Hons, B.Pharm, MLT etc.. For some courses like BA, B.Comm, BBA etc LPUNEST is not mandatory. LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a national-level entrance test conducted by LPU and is considered for offering scholarships as well as determining Eligibility for admission in various programmes. The aim of conducting the test is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student. LPUNEST provides an opportunity to applicants who could not perform well in the qualifying examination owing to various personal, academic or procedure-specific reasons and is therefore not able to derive the benefit of the scholarship scheme of the university. Scholarships can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D through LPUNEST score, and various other schemes.
