Nagarathnamma Meda Kasturiranga Setty Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College for Women (abbreviated NMKRV) is an autonomous college, located in Bangalore (known as Bengaluru), which is the capital city of Indian state of Karnataka. It is managed by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samiti Trust, Bangalore. In 1971, the college was commenced as a Pre-University with 150 students. It was divided as NMKRU Degree College for Women in 1973. Since its establishment, NMKRV College has maintained its mission to educate and enrich the 1st generation students to meet the challenges of the growing world. Currently, around two-thousand students are studying at NMKRV college. The college provides 14 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programs in various specializations with 150 teaching faculties. NMKRV has achieved a lot of feats and climbed new heights. In 2015, it is awarded as a “College with potential for Excellence” by University Grant Commission (UGC) and The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) at “A” level with 3.22 CGPA.

Overall The professors are really nice and super smart especially the biotech department, but they can be a bit strict. with a focus on frequent exams and seminars, academics take centre stage over extracurricular activities. despite the emphasis on learning fosters a supportive environment for academic success.
