Placements Stats for All Degrees
MDI Gurgaon stood out among the premier business schools in the country through its phenomenal Final Placements for the batch of 2015 – 2017. A total of 343 students participated in the placement process, with 238 students from the flagship PGPM course, 60 students from the PGP-HRM course and 45 from the PGP-IM course. MDI students have proved their mettle through their high quality performance by bagging a total of 100 Pre-Placement Offers either from their summer internship organizations or through various B-school competitions. The regular recruiters at MDI reinforced their faith in the quality of talent by opening more of their coveted roles, in addition to their regular roles on offer. A total of 143 companies confirmed participation for the final placement process. The average CTC across the three courses stood at INR 18.89 LPA with the highest domestic CTC being INR 28.74 LPA. 15 students have also bagged international offers across industries. Tolaram Group extended 4 international offers with the package of 55 LPA which is the highest overall CTC offered in this season. The placement season saw an overwhelming response from companies spanning across various functions such as Consulting, General Management, Finance, Strategy, Sales and Marketing, Operations and HR. A plethora of startups also opened their niche profiles to leverage the talent pool at MDI Gurgaon. The stellar placements at MDI amidst the increasingly volatile economic scenario stand testimony to the faith shown by industry stalwarts in its pedagogy, faculty, alumni and students.
The Placement Process at MDI aims to match the requirements of the Corporate World with the aspirations of the students thereby facilitating the achievement of synergy between the two. The various Placements Activities undertaken at MDI are described below.
This process is usually conducted in the month of February, although recruitment through Pre-Placements Offers (PPO) and lateral process for students with prior work experience can happen till at least a fortnight before the Final Placements.
For each of these processes, the following procedure is adopted:
Stage 1: Members from companies interact with students on campus through Business Thought Leadership Sessions, Guest Lectures, Live Projects, and other Corporate Forums
Stage 2: Student profiles and other relevant details are shared with companies
Stage 3: The companies conduct Pre-PlacementsTalks to give in-depth information about them including the roles and profiles being offered
Stage 4: Applications are invited and resumes of interested applicants are shared with the companies
Stage 5: Based on factors such as profiles and locations offered, and student’s perceptions and areas of interest, companies are ranked and called on campus
Stage 6: Companies conduct their selection process which typically comprises CV based short listing, group discussions, and interviews
Stage 7: Final results are announced by the companies

Training & Placement Activites
As a compulsory part of curriculum, PGPM and PGP-HR students are required to undergo Summer Internship with an organization for a period of 6-8 weeks. The selection process for Summer Placements starts after the first term for the first year students. The period of Summer Internship is normally from the beginning of April to the mid of June.
Apart from the summer internship by the students enrolled in the PGPM and PGP-HRM courses, 30 students have enrolled for the Post Graduate Program in International Management (PGP-IM). These students do their internship abroad for a duration that can vary from anywhere between 4 – 12 months. In the past, PGP-IM students have interned with companies such as Bombardier, Sanofi-Aventis, Credit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Henkel Germany, Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal, British American Tobacco, Cartagena Capital, Dassault Systems, Allianz, Schneider Electric, NOAH Advisors, GE Healthcare, Orange, GIE AXA, etc. Several of these companies tend to absorb the interns as full-time recruits post the completion of the students’ academic curriculum.
