Overall Purulia Polytechnic, is a government polytechnic in an underdeveloped rural area named Bongabari. This institute stands on a huge area. It was established in 1957. It is one of the oldest polytechnic institutes of India.

Placement Aspirants must appear for the JEXPO entrance test. Qualified students can select the institute by attending counseling. In JEXPO entrance test there are three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. ITI trained students can take direct admission to second year.

Infrastructure Purulia Polytechnic is under the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education board and All India Council for Technical Education approved. This institute offers diploma degree in five branches. Semester examination held in January (odd semester) and in June (even semester) every year.

Faculty Bus service is available in front of the campus. Purulia Polytechnic is about 3 kilometers from Purulia railway station, which is 323 kilometers away from Howrah railway station. Purulia railway station is under south-eastern railway. From Howrah railway station Rupasi Bangla Express, Howrah-Chakradharpur passenger is a direct train to Purulia. Another route from Howrah with a break journey at Asansol is preferable and takes less time than the direct route.

Hostel Each hostel has its own cooking staff so that they can provide breakfast, lunch, tiffin and dinner of good quality. Inter-hostel cricket, football, volleyball tournaments are organized by boarders every year. Volleyball playing is a passion for the students. Common room facilities are on the first floor of each hostel. They are furnished with television, music system, carom board.

Overall I was amazed that how a government college gave education to students. The lecturers were highly qualified professionals and the placement cell was amazing. Even after passing out they call and ask for job situations.

Placement Many companies including JSl, JSW, and many more arrive at campus. And the placement cell takes care of student who are unable to get job. This college is famous for its placement record.

Infrastructure The campus is big. Loaded with labs and library. Classes are also good. Everything is fine. Every department has its own building and they maintain cleanliness, there are many workshops. A large field.

Faculty They are highly qualified professionals. And they are devoted to teach. They give regular classes. And attendance is a must in this college. Teachers are nice.

Hostel The room are wide enough. 3 persons are allowed in a room. There is also a girls hostel.there are two floors one and one bathroom at each floor. It's inside college campus.

Overall Purulia polytechnic is one of the best quality education provider in purulia, west bengal . It provides total 5 branch of diploma engineering education they are mechanical engineering , electrical engineering, civil engineering, metallurgical engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering. This college is connected with roadways and railways which makes this college more popular.the educational system of this college is unique that makes this college different.the practical knowledge students gain here that is more beneficial.

Placement Placement of this college is great. Top private company including MNC comes to this college to give opportunity for students. Students can get a good and handsome salary package.80- 90 percentage of students are gets placed every year. Highest package is 3.80 LPA and lowest package of the year of 2023 was 1.8 LPA.
