Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is a premier institute offering medical education in Raipur. Established in 2012, RIMS is affiliated to the Chhattisgarh Ayush Health Sciences University, Raipur and has also received approval from the Central Government and the State Government of Chattisgarh. It is also accredited by the MCI.
Apart from the MCI-approved MBBS course, a B.Sc in Nursing and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course are also offered at RIMS. The latter two courses are offered through the RIMS College of Nursing and have also been successful in attracting medical aspirants from all over India.
RIMS campus is well-equipped and the facilities available on the RIMS campus include modern classrooms, cafeteria and common rooms. The RIMS library is spread over an area of around 2,500 square meters and has a good collection of books with over 3800 titles and subscription to 25 journals to ensure that the students have access to the best study materials. Separate hostel facilities are available on campus for boys and girls. The RIMS hostel rooms are spacious and have all basic amenities such as Wi-Fi access, dining halls etc.
Some of the activities and clubs at RIMS are the Drama Society, Musical Group, Debate Group and Sports Teams. The RIMS Student Union also helps keep the institute informed of the student's requirements and ensures healthy participation of the students in the institute related activities.
