About RUHS

The Rajasthan University of Health Science is ranked 22nd nationwide and stands at 2nd place in the state of Rajasthan by NIRF and NAAC. RUHS University has also been given the title "Best University" several times in recent years.

Spread over 705 acres of an eco-friendly campus, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, RUHS for short. It was established on February 25, 2005, and it is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. RUHS Jaipur is known for its excellence and pre-eminence in providing a better education related to medicine and its allied sciences.

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences courses offer 80+ disciplines under medicine and its allied sciences at Under-Graduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels, which include RUHS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Occu. Therapy and Paramedical sciences. 

RUHS also takes care of the administration, management, and control of the hospitals in the state of Rajasthan. The university has started several departments for telemedicine, reproductive and population control research institute (RPCRI), environment and pollution control institute, RUHS Raj genetics department, transfusion medicine, nutrition research centre, and a centre for imparting training to teachers for the betterment of their students, to give them practical knowledge about their chosen career and to discover their career paths in the chosen stream.

RUHS placement is not like other college placement procedures as it is a medical institute, so the students themselves have to join various hospitals and medical institutes according to their degrees. Many colleges have also been affiliated with the Rajasthan University of medical and allied sciences statewide.

RUHS collaborations were made with several other universities across the nation for research projects, conferences, and publications.

Courses & Admission 2024 at RUHS

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences courses include 80+ courses across 6 streams at the UG, PG, M.Phil, and PhD levels. These courses offered are in the field of Medical and Allied Sciences. The university, being a state university has many colleges under its affiliations, so, the fee structure of almost all the colleges is reasonable and hence affordable in comparison to other colleges and universities, the perks being that students from all financial backgrounds can take admission in the colleges of this university based on their merit list and can easily have access to quality education. Students can check RUHS fees structure along with its respective courses and eligibility criteria of all the departments and courses offered by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences. However, the fee structure varies from college to college, depending upon the college's infrastructure and locality.

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences admissions are open now for UG courses. 

For RUHS admission 2023 candidates must give the exam for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by NTA for MBBS, BDS, and Pharmacy courses. Students have to wait for the results and seat allotments conducted by the NEET authorities and select the colleges under RUHS.

Aspirants can also take direct admissions for other courses like RUHS BDS, RUHS MBBS, and Physiotherapy, and they need to score high marks, but they have to cross the eligibility criteria set by the NEET and approved by NTA for that respective year. For the courses like RUHS B.Sc in Nursing and pharmacy, one can just take direct admission to the institute after they give the state entrance exam conducted by the university. they have to qualify for the RUHS eligibility criteria mentioned above in this article.

RUHS Admissions for PG and PhD levels are slightly different; one has to clear their respective UG courses, common entrance test, and the minimum eligibility to get admission in the RUHS affiliated colleges, Jaipur.

RUHS Admission Dates 2023

The e-prospectus for admission to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, has been released in some selected courses or streams. However, there are tentative dates and can be subject to changes decided by the university. 

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences Application Process 2023 

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences applications process usually starts after the NEET result has been out, and then the authorities of RUHS Jaipur release the programme's application form. The selection criteria for different courses are different in the university. The application process for RUHS is online. One has to keep checking the websites for updates.

The application process for Medical and Allied sciences courses at Rajasthan University of Health Sciences partly depends on the process of NEET, the university also has some procedures of its own, and they are as follows:

  • After the attempt of the NEET exam, the results are out a month or so later, and the cut-off is released based on the highest percentile and many other factors. All other state universities, including the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur, release the application form as the state-wise NEET merit list is released.
  • The candidate is requested to visit the official admission portal of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences regularly.
  • For the RUHS admission of B.Sc, one has to directly fill out the RUHS application form, perform well at the exam, and mandatorily qualify as this has no relation to the NEET exam conducted by NTA.  
  • Then they can select the programme and fill the registration form with the required information, such as educational details, personal details, and contact addresses.
  • Some documents like the scanned signatures, one identity proof card like the PAN card, the adhaar or passport and colour photographs of the candidate must be uploaded along with the RUHS application form. To avoid any hitch in the admission process, the candidates are informed to keep all the required documents, such as birth certificate, category certificate, income certificate, last qualifying degree certificate, etc., and in the case of admission to MBBS and BDS courses, NEET application form, result card and admit card is a must.  
  • Finally, they can submit the application form. And pay the RUHS application fee via any online payment method such as net banking, credit and debit cards, BHIM UPI, Paytm, etc. Candidates are advised to keep the receipt of the fee paid as proof for further reference.
  • If the confirmation page is not generated after completing the fee payment, the transaction is cancelled, and the deducted amount is refunded to the candidate’s respective bank account. The candidate has to make transactions again. 
  • Then at the time of seat allotment through the first and second rounds, the eligible candidates are suggested online to opt for the college of their choice for MBBS, BDS, or Pharmacy and wait for the result. Once the allotment result is out, the candidate must physically go to the college and do the necessary admission procedures. 
  • For the direct admissions for B. Sc Nursing, the candidate, after qualifying for the exam can either opt to go and do the necessary RUHS admission procedures directly or wait for the usual computer-based college selection and admission. During admission, the candidate has to carry the required documents and photographs mandatorily.  
  • NEET is a computer-based test, which is mandatory to qualify to be eligible for admission.
  • At RUHS University, different procedures are to be followed for different courses as the admission committee is different for different courses. The dates also vary.
  •  The selection of candidates for RUHS admission is made solely based on their overall performance in the last qualifying examination (NEET) or (Rajasthan State Common Entrance Test conducted by RUHS)
  •  PhD aspirants can opt out of giving the RUHS examination only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, etc.

RUHS Cut Off

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences cut-off list will usually depend on the last year's cut-off and this year's NEET results, although the cut-off varies drastically from the last year's in some colleges under RUHS for all its undergraduate programmes. For admission to a PG course in MBBS in RUHS, one has to take up the NEET PG exam and follow a similar procedure to that of NEET-UG, and then the University will release its own cut-off based list on several factors.

Candidates seeking admission to RUHS, Jaipur, must know the marks and ranks precisely, and they need to secure a seat for themselves in the desired RUHS UG programme and RUHS PG programmes. The candidate is also advised to check the RUHS cut-off of the previous year to compare and analyze, which helps in better understanding. RUHS Scholarships

RUHS scholarships are offered to its students in all the colleges affiliated with it. The Government of Rajasthan has made mandatory scholarships for students who hail from families, whose financial status is Below Poverty Line (BPL). Not only scholarships, but the RUHS, Jaipur also financially supports the students with various fellowship and award programmes. 

Merit students are also eligible for some of the scholarships provided by the university. Rajasthan University of Health Sciences scholarship facilities for UG and PG students to help them with financial assistance and reward academic performances and make their learning experience easier by lowering the burden on their parents.

Dear Student, 

RUHS is an affiliating university in Rajasthan dedicated to the medical and health sciences. The university has not revealed any dates regarding the release of first-year MBBS (new scheme) revaluation exams 2023. However, it released results for the first-year MBBS (new scheme) main exam 2023 on December 18, 2023. So, you can expect the results for the revaluation exam by the last week of January 2024.
