For Admission to the First Year of B. Tech., candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University as given in information brochure of UPSEE-2014. The candidate must have clearly passed with minimum 45% marks for General & OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates in aggregate. The candidate is essentially required to pass in each subject of the subject groups mentioned in the information brochure UPSEE-2014 without grace marks. 85% of the seats are filled by the University through State Entrance Examination (SEE-UPTU), depending on the rank obtained by the student. Counseling sessions for the same are called in 9 cities and announced in leading Newspapers.15% seats are filled by the colleges through Direct admissions under UPTU guidelines.
