Overall Academics The best thing about the courses at Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt (SD College, Ambala Cantt) is the variety of specialisations one gets to choose from. You get to choose from medical, biotechnology, computer applications, mass communication, home science, tourism and travel management and a lot more. The Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt curriculum is updated frequently to keep up with the changing industry trends. Being a student who completed graduation in BBA on 2019, I can very well say that it has opened a lot of doors for me in the corporate industry. We were taught about the intricacies of marketing, sales and customer relations. Admission to this course is purely merit based and you won't have to sit for any entrance examination to qualify. Faculty The faculty of our commerce and management department consisted of 20 members, eight of them holding PhD degrees. For teaching, they use the latest methodologies necessary for proper skill development. These include using audio-visual equipment, conducting industry visits, etc. to improve the teaching-learning process. Fees The course fees at SD College Ambala Cantt are moderate. It also offers both private and Government scholarships, as well as fee concessions for financially weaker students, outstanding performers in academics, sports and cultural activities, and female students without a father. A certain amount from the Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt fees is exempted for the ones availing of the scholarship. Placement The placements here are good. The college organises on-campus placements through which most of the students secure job offers. Some students even got internship opportunities at Wipro and HCL. After completing BBA from SD College Ambala Cantt on 2019, my classmates and I all have secured placement in reputed companies like Cognizant, TCS and Amazon. An average package of Rs 3 LPA was offered to most students whereas the highest salary package was recorded to be Rs 11 LPA for the BBA graduates. Campus Infrastructure The Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt campus is excellent. It has a well-maintained infrastructure and all the necessary facilities a student could ask for. The classrooms are fully air-conditioned, they have projectors and huge screens to incorporate audio-visual learning. The library is massive and you will find books and study materials for every subject. The physics and chemistry labs are well equipped with modern technology and are frequently updated. Other than these there are huge seminar halls, auditoriums, research labs, cafeterias, and separate hostels for men and women. All-day internet facilities are also available for the students at SD SD College, Ambala Cantt campus. Campus Life The campus life at Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt is very exciting. As they promote holistic development as well, several cultural events take place on the college campus, which is often organised by the students themselves. Sports events also take place like competitions, inter-college games, etc.
