Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College (popularly known as SGM College) was established in the year 1954 with only fifty-four students in a single Art faculty. Now it has become a multi-faculty institution with twenty-three departments with a lot of support services and interdisciplinary activities. The campus is spread over an area of 6.8 hectares. Around 10,000 (for both Senior and Junior College) students are enrolled with the college. More than 300 teaching and non-teaching staff are working with the SGM College. The college provides Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) at UG level and Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (M.Sc) and Master of Commerce (M.Com) at PG level. It also provides some Certificate and UG Diploma programs in various specializations. SGM College is well-equipped with all the modern facilities including a library, laboratory, gym, sports, NCC and canteen. It also provides separate hostel facilities for all boys and girls.
