SIVET College Scholarships 2026 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

To be awarded every year on the basis of means cum merit to one of the Vaaniar Students studying in B.Com.

To be awarded annually in the form of books Rs.50 to one student who secures the highest marks in part-I Tamil at the II year Degree University Examination, and to one student who secures the highest marks in Part-II English at the II year Degree University Examination. The above prizes shall be awarded from the interest accrued from the endowment of Rs.1,000/- founded by Thiru.C.M. Sivarama Chettiar (Ex-President, S.I.V.E.Trust, Chennai) Proprietor T.G. Sambandham and Co., (Counian Press) No.169, Broadway, Chennai - 600108.

To be awarded every year to two students of Vaaniar community studying in degree classes of S.I.V.E.T. College on grounds of poverty and merit. Each scholarship is of the value of Rs.100/- The above scholarship shall be awarded from the amount received annually from the Santhi Thyagarajan Trust founded and registered by Thiru. L. Thygaraja Chettiar No.3, Thyagarajan Road, Andavar Nagar, Chennai - 600 024 on 13.03.76 vide. The Register No.37, 22.05.1976 books 3.10 pages 19-21.

To be awarded every year to two students of Vaaniar community studying in first year M.Com. and Second year M.Com. Degree class of S.I.V.E.T. College on the basis of Poverty cum Merit. The above Scholarship shall be awarded through the interest accrued from the endowment of Rs.5,000/- founded by Vaniga Elaignar Kazhagam, Chennai.

To be awarded annually to a Vaaniar student of S.I.V.E.T. College, who secures the highest marks at the second year M.Com. Degree University Examination. 48 The above prize shall be awarded through the interest accrued from the endowment of Rs.5,000/- founded by Thirumylai Vaniyar Dharma Paripalana Sangam, Myla pore, Chennai – 600 004. 

To be awarded annually in the form of books to one student who secures the highest marks in Part-I Tamil at the first Year Degree University Examination, and to one student who secures the highest marks in Part-II English at the First Year Degree University Examination. The above first prize shall be awarded through the interest accrued from the endowment of Rs.1,000/- founded by Thiru D. Annamalai Chettiar Trust.

To be awarded every year to the top ranker in the M.Sc. Degree (Mathematics) University Examination. The Prize shall be awarded through the interest accrued from the endowment of Rs.1,000/- founded by Prof. K. Viswanathan, M.A., M.Sc., P.G. Professor and Hea d of the Department of Mathematics, S.I.V.E.T. College Gowrivakkam, Chennai - 600 073.

To be awarded annually from the accrued Interest derived from the Endowment Fund of Rs.2,00,000/- for Three students from III B.Sc. Maths, III B.Com., and III B.Com Corporate Secretaryship respectively and also for Two students from II M.Com. and II M.Sc. Maths who score the highest marks in the University Examinations In addition to this, a prize is to be awarded to an outgoing Student of good character and conduct in the College who has been high Proficient all rounder in such fields as academic studies, Sports, Attendance, Social Service activities etc.

To be awarded every year to three students of I year of S.I.V.E.T. College based on Merit and Poverty. The students who are not recipient of any other scholarship only are eligible. Each scholarship is of the value of Rs.1,000/-
