Thiagrajar College placement cell was established in 2003 with the intention to inculcate a sense of responsibility among students to be placed in higher positions. The cell functions as a vital organ to bridge the gap between industry and academics with a focus on the employability of the candidates. The training and placement cell strives to achieve good placements for students each year. A proven track record of consistent high-quality education and career readiness year-on-year is one of the reasons for many bright students opting for admission to Thiagarajar College. Thiagarajar Alumni hold leading positions in key government organisations, private sectors and companies of national and international reckoning. Companies complement the institution for the significant contributions made by Thiagarajar College graduates in their respective fields. The training & placement cell is committed to offering all possible assistance to graduate and post-graduate students of the college to secure their jobs in multinational companies and other reputed organisations and industries.

Thiagrajar College placement cell extends its services around the year and facilitates to the establishment of contacts between companies and students. The cell helps the students to improve skills in related fields (soft skills, resume preparation, practice for interviews, etc) and career guidance. Frequently, it conducts a number of mock tests to improve performance in written examinations. The aim is to ensure that students have the information and skills necessary for an effective job search.

Thiagrajar College has an impressive placement record. Some of the key aspects that are taken into account by the placement team of Thiagrajar College are -

In the year 2021, a total of 506 placement offers were made to the students in the annual placement drive of Thiagrajar College. For the year 2020, the total number of job offers made is 456. The final data for the 2022 placement drive is yet to be released officially.
