The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh focusing on tribal education as the tribal society become dynamic and vibrant sector keeping pace with the changing needs of the society. Special focus must be done on teacher Education in this regard. Hence the Govt. of AP realized and established a special B.Ed college at Bhadrachalam exclusively for agency tribes of AP which stands unique in India with an intake 200.The College of Teacher Education(Tribal Welfare) was established in the year 2000 as per GO. Ms. No. 70, dt.24.06.2000 by the Tribal Welfare department, Government of Andhra Pradesh being managed by ITDA, Bhadrachalam. It is the only college of its kind inIndia meant for agency tribes.The college has been established in old ITDA campus of Charla road, Bhadrachalam. The Government has sanctioned Rs. 71 lakhs under 275 article and Rs. 81 lakhs under RSEY to develop infrastructure facilities. The construction of new building blocks is completed and being utilized.The intake is 200. As per provision of GO. Ms. No.70, dt.24.06.2000 & GO. Ms. No. 53, dt. 19.05.2009 the candidates seeking admission in to the college are exempted from Ed. CET. Admission process will be carried out as per norms and conditions fixed by the Government purely on order of merit under the guidance and supervision of The Project Officer& Addl. District Magistrate. ITDA, Bhadrachalam and the Dean faculty of education,Kakatiya University, Warangal.
