University of Mysore MA : Fees, Courses, Eligibility & Admission 2026

Overall The university is quite large including library, playground, canteen, auditorium and amphitheatre and various departments. People are humble and helpful. They are polite as well. The surroundings of the university is clean and calm. The departments are kept clean as well. Projector is provided in each classroom with green board. Desks and chairs are kept in a good condition. We have a central library providing books for various subjects. Canteen is open for all, food is great. Festivals are celebrated. Sports and other extra curricular activities are held. Students join in badminton, cricket, throwball, volleyball, table tennis and football. After admission a notice is circulated to involve oneself in each activities. Functions are held in auditorium with students performing in programmes.

Placement I am not aware of the placement cell in this university. The subject, Ancient History and Archaeology is interconnected to all other fields from Science to Social Studies. In my knowledge, to ace this field one has to pass the NET exam. On the other hand he/she should also complete their Ph.D. There is an institution under ASI that trains the students in this field work and provides them a diploma.

Infrastructure This university is large; it has an auditorium, library, canteen, amphitheater, department buildings and a playground. The central library is equipped with almost all the books related to the different departments. They also provide daily newspapers, magazines and journals. The library has a computer laboratory too. The canteen is open for all, with edible arrangements of food. The playground is on red soil, where frequent sports activities are organised. Students participate in sports as well as functions held in the auditorium. The departments are also well equipped with ventilated classrooms. The desks are kept in a good condition. Projectors are equipped in all classrooms. There are laboratory as well. Each department has their own library and seminar hall. The seminar hall in my department is not that big though. This university has well connected Wi-Fi facilities for all the departments.

Faculty The faculty is great in this department. We have four teachers; one of them is the chairman. The teachers have acquired their Ph.Ds. The teachers and other office staffs are quite helpful. They provide notes regarding their subjects both in English and Kannada. They are cooperative and approachable when students face any problems. The syllabus is always finished on time and revision is done. The teachers except a few teach in their native language making it hard for students from other states to understand and communicate.

Hostel We have three hostels; one for the ladies, gents and international students only. I do not know much about the hostel. After admission, the website announces admissions for the hostels. One must be up to date with the website to apply for the hostel. A certain number of students are chosen for the hostels. I have heard that their rooms are good and clean. The food is not good too. The students have time restrictions for entering and exiting the hostel. Electronic gadgets other than mobile and laptop is not allowed. One may be punished for such activity. The hostel provides both vegetarian and non vegetarian food (only once or twice a week). The hostel admission takes place annually.

Overall Educational institutions are the true place of learning. The students, who are really anxious to learn, can develop a bright career, sense of responsibility and healthy habits only in the college. In a college, we are taught how to move in society, how to behave with others and how to progress in life. Therefore let us get some facts about college. A college is an academic Mysore University institution or a constituent part of one. A college may be a degree-awarding educational institution. So, college is meant not only to provide education in the country but also a strong base of youth power. College is the place where one can get higher education for achieving his or her career goal. College is indeed necessary for each and every one. Thus for a successful career, the student needs knowledge, confidence, academic and technical skills, career opportunities and social skills.

Placement The quality of placement is very good if you get good grades in college then your placement is very easy. Almost every student get placement with good package and my course is bachelor in technology. I hope I get good salary placement as my college is very supportive.

Infrastructure The infrastructure of a college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, class rooms, etc while selecting a college. I really love my college.It is important that the colleges have very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment etc. Only then the students can get hands on experience with the latest technologies. Computing resources are one of the important and mandatory needs of a college. All colleges are now equipped with latest computer products and internet connectivity but certain colleges are more advanced than the others and it is important to find those colleges. There are certain requirements that are essential to be present in a college campus.

Faculty I am pursued my Graduation from this college.Quality of teaching is very good.This college is known for academic excellence. I studied in this college, the teachers are very good and style of teaching is very good.and the quality of teaching is very amazing.and curriculum syallbus everything is updated and also give opportunity to many sector.

Hostel Hostel life comes with its set of advantages and disadvantages. Hostel life is full of friends, fun and independence. It gives numerous memories to the students to cherish forever. A student who has experienced hostel life is better off at taking decisions and forming viewpoint about various things.

Placement The placement level dos bring in some big companies like Google and Infosys but the percentage of finalists are very less and highly performance based.

Infrastructure The building is an heritage in itself as it's built during the British era...even the doors and windows are of that period I suppose. It's still old way of teaching but organised. You can find the basic infrastructure but can't expect more than that.

Faculty You can expect a normal school type teaching and they are friendly also and that's what it is. They will treat you like school students with more privileges.

Hostel The university has a cheap hostel facility for all students with gender based blocks and buildings. You don't get your personal space and it has its own rules like wake up time, study time, breakfast/lunch/dinner time. They don't allow phones to be used inside the hostel unless authorised or permitted.
