Hello Siddhika, no, you may not be able to get admission for engineering at YCCE Nagpur since admissions to most courses has concluded. However, you can try again by applying for the MHT CET entrance exam next year since YCCE Nagpur admissions are done through CAP rounds based on MHT CET scores. The cutoff for admission to YCCE varies each year depending on the number of applicants and the availability of seats. In 2023, the closing YCCE Nagpur cutoff rank for the open category for B.Tech CSE was 13536 and for IT was 16242. If you have a rank below the closing ranks, you will be eligible for admission to YCCE. However, if your rank is above the closing rank, you may still be eligible for admission through the roundwise Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Dear Nihal, Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering Nagpur offers lateral entry admission to students with diploma in engineering. The minimum percentage required for lateral entry admission to YCCE Nagpur is 50%. However, the actual YCCE cutoff may vary depending on the number of seats available and the performance of the applicants.

    Dear Tejas,

Passing Class 12 with 50% is not enough to get admission at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering B.Tech rpogramme. You must also have a non-zero score in JEE Main/ MH-CET. For lateral entry into B.Tech, the candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 50% marks

    Dear Raj,

It is difficult to say whether the cutoff for Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering will increase in the 2nd CAP round. However, there are a few factors that could influence the cutoff.

    • The number of seats available in the college may decrease if some students admitted in the 1st CAP round choose to withdraw their admission.
    • The number of students who apply for YCCE in the 2nd CAP round may increase, as some students who were not admitted in the 1st CAP round may reapply.
    • The difficulty level of the MHT CET exam may also influence the cutoff. If the exam is more difficult in 2023 than it was in 2022, the cutoff may be lower.

Overall, it is possible that the cutoff for YCCE will increase in the 2nd CAP round, but it is also possible that it will remain the same or even decrease

    Dear Sakshi,

Getting admission to Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) for the CS branch with an 85 percentile in MHT CET is difficult. As per your percentile, you might get admission to the civil engineering branch.

    Dear Rajat,

There are no direct admissions at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering. It is mandatory to obtain a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2023 conducted by the competent authority or have passed diploma in engineering and technology and obtained at least 45% marks.

Hello Karina, with a 65% in the MHT CET, it is unlikely that you will be accepted into YCCE Nagpur B.Tech in IT programme. The general category YCCE Nagpur MHT CET cut off is typically around 80%. You might think about applying for the management quota if you are serious about taking admission to YCCE Nagpur B.Tech IT course. The majority of students who apply for management quota seats do so with strong MHT CET scores, but a small number of spots are also open to applicants with other credentials, such as strong academic standing in the class 12 exam or extracurricular accomplishments.

Dear student, the cut off for B.Tech CS of NT category at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering Nagpur in 2022 was 91.97 percentile. This means that the candidate had to score at least 91.97 percentile in the MHT CET exam to be eligible for admission to the B.Tech CS programme in YCCE under the NT category. The YCCE Nagpur cut off for CS in NT category is expected to be around 90 percentile in 2023. However, the actual cut off will be released by the college after the MHT CET counselling process starts.
