Yes, you can get admission to engineering at Lovely Professional University, which offers various specializations like CSE, Mechanical, Civil, ECE, and Electrical Engineering. Being an alumni, I’m more familiar with B.Tech Electrical Engineering, where students gain hands-on experience through labs, projects, and industry exposure. In terms of placement and career outcomes, Electrical Engineering students get opportunities in core electrical companies, automation, energy, and IT sectors, with roles such as electrical engineer, design engineer, and project engineer, supported by internships and placement assistance.

If a student has completed a diploma and wants to pursue engineering (B.Tech) at Lovely Professional University, they can take lateral entry admission directly into the 2nd year. The required eligibility is usually at least 60% marks in the diploma (in a relevant engineering stream). Admission may also involve LPUNEST. Meeting higher percentages can improve chances of scholarships and better opportunities during the admission process.

Dear Tejas,

YCEE Nagpur does not offer BCA programme. Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering course list includes B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD programmes.

Dear Tejas,

Passing Class 12 with 50% is not enough to get admission at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering B.Tech rpogramme. You must also have a non-zero score in JEE Main/ MH-CET. For lateral entry into B.Tech, the candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 50% marks

Dear Raj,

It is difficult to say whether the cutoff for Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering will increase in the 2nd CAP round. However, there are a few factors that could influence the cutoff.

  • The number of seats available in the college may decrease if some students admitted in the 1st CAP round choose to withdraw their admission.
  • The number of students who apply for YCCE in the 2nd CAP round may increase, as some students who were not admitted in the 1st CAP round may reapply.
  • The difficulty level of the MHT CET exam may also influence the cutoff. If the exam is more difficult in 2023 than it was in 2022, the cutoff may be lower.

Overall, it is possible that the cutoff for YCCE will increase in the 2nd CAP round, but it is also possible that it will remain the same or even decrease
