ONGC scholarship 2024

ONGC scholarship 2024 is an unique scholarship opportunity attempting to transform Indian society in the realms of education, health, livelihood among others.  For students in the Engineering, MBBS, MBA and Masters in Geology and Geophysics who are of the SC / ST, OBC, and General (EWS) categories, the ONGC Foundation has offered scholarships under the "Scholarship to Meritorious Students" programme. This initiative aims to give promising students from the economically disadvantaged backgrounds an equal opportunity to excel in their chosen fields of study and emerge as leaders in the future.

To encourage women empowerment through education, 50% of the scholarships are set aside for female applicants. The less fortunate and weaker segments of society, who are typically unable to pay for their own education, would benefit from this ONGC scholarship as well. As a result, deserving SC / ST students will be supported to continue further education without any concerns about their finances.

ONGC scholarship 2024 - Criteria of Selection

ONGC scholarship 2024 is completely a merit-based scholarship, and the decision-making process takes academic excellence into consideration. The selection process is dependent on the candidate's accomplishment in the class 12th exam if they are pursuing an engineering or MBBS programme. The decision is made based on the applicant's performance at the graduation level whether they are applying for an MBA or Master's programme in geology or geophysics. Students with lower family incomes will be chosen in the event that all candidates received the same marks on the qualifying exam. The preference will also go to students from BPL (Below Poverty Line) families; however other candidates will only be taken into consideration if there are insufficient BPL students who meet the eligibility requirements.
