Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship 2024 is provided to students belonging to the state of Maharashtra. This scholarship is available for students who are currently studying in class 12 or have just passed their 12 Board examinations. If the student is willing to be a part of this scholarship, then he/she must belong to the ‘Maratha Community’. The purpose of providing the Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship for students is to provide monetary help to students helping them achieve their career goals.

• The candidates must belong to the ‘Maratha community’.
• The applying candidate must be pursuing any professional/ non-professional course at a Government-aided/Non-government-aided/ Partially aided/ Unaided/ Permanent Unaided college/ institution which must be approved by the Government.
• From all the sources, the applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 per annum.
• The candidate should have been admitted for the course he/she is pursuing through the general quota.
• It is important to note that the students pursuing part-time/ distance learning/ correspondence courses are not eligible to apply.
• Only the first two children of a family are eligible to apply for the scholarship. More than two children cannot avail of the same scholarship.

To complete the application process for receiving the Rajarshi Maharaj Scholarship, candidates must follow the steps below:

• Visit mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in
• To initiate the registration process, click on ‘New Applicant Registration’ 
• Next, fill in all the required details and provide the active email ID and mobile phone number to register
• Complete the Aadhar authentication process through OTP or by biometrics
• The applicants who opt for the OTP authentication option will receive an OTP to their registered mobile number
• Then fill in all the required details and complete the registration process
• After completing the registration process, log in to the MahaDBT portal using the newly created Username and password
• Once the scholarship application is accessed, the candidate should fill in all the details, such as personal details, communication details, academic details, etc, in the application form.
• In the final step, upload all the necessary documents along with the application and click the ‘Submit’ option to complete the application process.
• Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference
