About AKNU
Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU), established on April 22, 2006, through the Government of Andhra Pradesh Act No. 28, is a state university located in Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry), Andhra Pradesh. Named after the 11th-century Telugu poet Nannaya, it serves the educational needs of East and West Godavari districts, affiliating with approximately 426 colleges, including 248 undergraduate, 100 postgraduate, and 100 professional colleges. The university operates four constituent colleges: University College of Arts & Commerce, University College of Science & Technology, University College of Engineering, and University College of Education. AKNU is accredited with NAAC B+ Grade and recognized by the UGC, AICTE, and NCTE. In 2024, it was ranked 482 in India by EduRank and 17 in Andhra Pradesh.
