    KUHS Overview

    Kerala University of Health Sciences has its campus located in Government Medical College, Thrissur. It was established in 2009 through the Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010. KUHS campus is spread over 75 acres of land and is equipped with all the necessary amenities. The KUHS infrastructure is technologically advanced and is regularly inspected to make sure that the student's needs are met. Some of the prominent KUHS facilities include wifi, smart classrooms, a library, an auditorium, laboratories, hostels, a mess, and sports facilities, just to name a few.

    KUHS courses include various undergraduate, postgraduate and post-doctoral programmes in Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Indian Systems of Medicine including Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani and other allied sciences. There are a total of 296 KUHS-affiliated colleges. KUHS admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams like NEET UG for undergraduate courses, NEET PG for postgraduate courses except for MDS. NEET MDS is accepted for admission to MDS courses and NEET SS is the basis for admission at KUHS DM and MCh programmes. Coming to KUHS placement 2022, the reports are not out yet.     KUHS Courses 2023

    Kerala University of Health Sciences offers multiple courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral levels. BASLP, BUMS, BDS, MBBS, B.Sc, BPT, B.Optom, BSMS, BAMS are the UG courses offered at KUHS on a full-time basis. There are also multiple KUHS courses that are offered in part-time mode. KUHS PG courses include M.Sc, MPT, M.Optom, MASLP, MDS, MD, MS, and MHA. Candidates can also take admission to KUHS MDS course. Some of the post-doctoral Kerala University of Health Sciences courses include DM and MCh. For all the courses, the Kerala University of Health Sciences eligibility criteria are different.     Kerala University of Health Sciences admissions are offered under undergraduate, postgraduate and post-doctoral levels.     KUHS Application Process 2023

    Whether the admissions at KUHS are done on the basis of merit or on the basis of entrance exams, the application process is the same for everyone. To begin with the Kerala University of Health Sciences application process 2023, candidates must duly follow the given steps:

    Step 1: Candidates need to visit the KUHS official website and register themselves.

    Step 2: The KUHS registration process will include filling up the requisite details like name, phone number and email id. Candidates must make sure they provide the correct communication address as it will be the sole basis of communication for all the Kerala University of Health Sciences admission-related information.

    Step 3: Once the candidates have completed their Kerala University of Health Sciences registration process, candidates will be directed to the application page. Candidates then need to fill up the KUHS application form 2023 with all the required information as well as attach the necessary documents.

    Step 4: At this stage, candidates need to have a preview of the filled in Kerala University of Health Sciences application form before submitting and also make sure they keep a copy of the same.

    Kerala University of Health Sciences admission is done through multiple stages. Registration and filling up the university application form as well as the entrance exam form marks the beginning of the KUHS admission process. The Kerala University of Health Sciences admission process are explained below in detail.

    KUHS Admission Process- Merit-Basis 

    • Admission to courses like BASLP, BPT and B.Sc are done on the basis of merit. At the first stage in the KUHS admission process, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set for the respective courses.
    • Next, candidates need to complete their KUHS application process, by registering, filling up the application form, attaching the documents and paying the application fee.
    • Once the application process is complete, candidates will be evaluated and shortlisted for the next stage in the KUHS admission process, which generally includes group discussion and personal interviews. The KUHS selection criteria comprise evaluationg the eligibility criteria, application form submitted, documents attached and marks obtained in the previous qualifying examination.
    • Once the final evaluation is done, a merit list will be released. Shortlisted candidates then need to clear all the admission-related formalities.
    • Next, a provisional admission letter will be provided to the students once they get their documents verified followed by the payment of KUHS admission fees.

    NEET UG

    • NEET is conducted by NTA for admission to KUHS undergraduate programmes.
    • NEET 2023 Eligibility: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
    • NEET 2023 Registration and Application Process: Candidates need to visit neet.nta.nic.in and fill in the application form. Candidates must keep a copy of their filled-in application form for future reference.
    • NEET 2023 Application Fee: Candidates then need to pay the NEET application fee of Rs 1,700 for general candidates, Rs 1,600 for EWS and Rs 900 for other categories.
    • NEET Cut Off 2023: After the results are out, NEET cut off 2023 list will be released for different categories. Based on the list, candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling process.
    • NEET Counseling 2023: NEET counseling will be conducted by MCC for 15 % AIQ admissions, while for the rest 85% state quota, the state authorities will conduct the counseling on their respective websites.

    NEET PG

    • NEET PG is conducted by NBE for admission to KUHS programs like MS, MD.
    • NEET PG Eligibility: Candidates in possession of MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognised as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the repealed Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India or State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship.
    • NEET PG Registration and Application Process: Once the NEET PG eligibility criteria is met, candidates need to register themselves and duly fill in the NEET PG application form.
    • NEET PG Application Fee Payment: After the candidates have filled in the application, they need to pay the NEET PG application fee of Rs 4,250.
    • NEET PG Cut off 2023: Once the exam is over and the results are out, the NEET PG cut off list will be released based on which candidates will be shortlisted for the counseling process. The NEET PG cut off 2023 list is out.
    • NEET PG Counseling 2023: The NEET PG counseling will be conducted by MCC. The NEET PG counseling process 2023 will probably begin in the mid of July, 2023. Candidates must fill in the counseling form and at the time of counseling they need to select KUHS as their preferred institute, get their documents verified and pay the tuition fees to confirm their seat allotment.

    NEET MDS

    • NEET MDS is conducted by NBEMS for admission to KUHS MDS programme 
    • NEET MDS Eligibility: A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.
    • Registration and Filling up the Application Form: Candidates then need to visit the NBEMS official website and complete the registration and NEET MDS application process.
    • Payment of NEET MDS Application Fee: After the candidates have submitted the application form they need to pay the application fee of Rs 4,250 online. Candidates must keep s copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.
    • NEET MDS Cut Off: After the results are out, the NEET MDS cut off list will be released based on which candidates will be called in for counseling.
    • NEET MDS Counseling 2023: The NEET MDS counseling will be conducted by MCC for 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 100% deemed/central universities and ESIC/AFMS institutes. 50% state quota seats and all private colleges counseling will be done by the respective state authorities. Seat will be allotted to the students after they select KUHS as their preferred institute, get evaluated as per the criteria set, pay the tuition fee and get their documents verified.

    NEET SS

    • NEET SS Exam is conducted by National Board of Examinations for admission into courses like DM and MCh 
    • NEET SS Eligibility: Candidates need to first and foremost meet the eligibility criteria set for the examination. Candidates who are in possession of a recognised post graduate medical degree/provisional pass certificate (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent recognised qualification are eligible to apply for the examination.
    • Registration and Application Process: Candidates who have met the eligibility criteria can then register for the exam as well as fill up the NEET SS application form by visiting the official website natboard.edu.in.
    • Payment of NEET SS Application Fee: Once the candidates have filled in the application form they need to pay the application fee of Rs 4,250 online.
    • NEET SS Admit Card Download: After submitting the application form, admit cards will be released before the exam date on the official website.
    • Release of NEET SS Cut-off 2023: After the exams are over and results are out, candidates will be shortlisted for counseling based on the NEET SS cut off 2023 list. 
    • NEET SS Counseling 2023: Shortlisted candidates will be then called in for counseling conducted by MCC.     Kerala University of Health Sciences has a dedicated placement cell that coordinates all the proceedings of the KUHS placements. The KUHS placement cell main function is to make students prepared for placement interviews allowing them the opportunity to acquire suitable positions in top healthcare institutions and companies. The placement cell at Kerala University of Health Sciences work closely with the top healthcare organization in India and abroad. It is responsible for organizing the KUHS placement drive every year. It also conducts job fairs and other placement-related training and workshops that help provide the students with the needed confidence to present themselves in front of the recruiters.

    Overall: They provide good support to the student's education and their talents. They also conduct sports meet and annual meet and Many more competitions to improve the student's talents.

    Placement: op recruiting companies are Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Biocon Ltd, Candela Healthcare Ltd, Vertex Pharma Chemicals, Apex Laboratories, etc. Top roles offered are drug inspector, quality control manager, teacher, entrepreneur, etc.

    Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, laboratories, big classrooms with projectors in each class, libraries, etc. are there. The quality of food is amazing in our college canteen. We have good ground. And we play badminton, cricket and various other games

    Faculty: The faculty that are provided to us are very good. The teachers hold Ph.D. in their subjects which means that they have very good knowledge. They always help us and guide us.

    Overall: The college is good in environment and good faculty and friendly faculty with good educational support with all extra curricular activity performed in the college

    Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our campus is very beautiful and enormous. It is surrounded by greenery. It has beautiful peacocks and flowers. It has many buildings. Wi-Fi facility is available in libraries, labs, classrooms, etc.
