About NIMHANS Bangalore

NIMHANS Bangalore or National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bangalore was established in the year 1974. It is a public (deemed) institute, situated in Bangalore Karnataka. The institute has been recognised by UGC. There are 26 departments at NIMHANS Bangalore, including departments of biostatistics, biophysics, and human genetics. There are 16 centres of excellence at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, some of which include the Advanced Centre for Ayurveda, the Centre for Public Health, the Library and Information Center, the Center for Addiction Medicine, and the NIMHANS Digital Academy.
