Parul University Goa celebrated its Annual Cultural Fest, Goan Cultural Carnival 2026, bringing together students for a lively showcase of creativity, culture, and tradition. The event highlighted the rich heritage of Goa while promoting talent and youthful energy among participants. The celebration was graced by Altone D’Costa, MLA of Quepem Constituency, who attended as the Chief Guest. His presence added significance to the event and encouraged students to actively engage in cultural activities.

The carnival began with a grand cultural procession that reflected the traditions and lifestyle of Goa. Students, dressed in colorful traditional attire, presented a visual display of Goan culture, setting the tone for the day-long festivities.

Various performances, including skits, one-act plays, group dances, folk dances, and folk orchestra were held throughout the event. These performances showcased not only artistic skills but also highlighted stories rooted in culture and tradition. Participants impressed the audience with their enthusiasm and creativity. A key attraction of the event was “Face of the Fest,” where students displayed confidence and individuality, adding an interactive and engaging element to the celebration.

Devanshu Patel, Director of Parul Education Foundation, appreciated the efforts of students and said that such events help in building confidence and provide a platform for self-expression through art and culture. Lalit Lata Jha, Provost of Parul University Goa, also highlighted the importance of cultural activities in bringing people together and strengthening connections with heritage.

The Goan Cultural Carnival 2026 concluded as a vibrant celebration of unity, creativity, and cultural pride, reinforcing the role of art and culture in building a strong community among students.

Goa took a big step forward in education and healthcare with the inauguration of Parul University Goa. The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Pramod Sawant, and Hon’ble Health Minister of Goa, Shri Vishwajit Rane, who officially launched the new campus and participated in the lamp-lighting and oath-taking ceremony of healthcare students. The event combined Goan culture with modern education through cultural performances and short films on the state’s contribution to education and healthcare. With 549 admissions already confirmed, the university aims to provide world-class yet affordable education to Goan students, close to home. Speaking at the event, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane encouraged students pursuing nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and allied health sciences, calling their choice “one of the most honorable callings in life – the service of humanity.” Chief Minister Pramod Sawant added that Goans would now have access to quality education at par with top universities in India, without leaving the state.

Dr. Devanshu Patel, Director of Parul Education Foundation, shared his vision of turning Goa into not only a tourist hub but also a strong center for education. He highlighted that Parul University Goa is built on innovation, excellence, and opportunities for local students. The inauguration concluded with a digital launch and celebrations involving students, faculty, and visitors, creating a festive atmosphere on campus. The new university is expected to play a key role in shaping Goa’s educational and healthcare future.
