To secure a B.Sc Physics (Hons) seat at Ravenshaw University, admission is strictly merit-based via SAMS Odisha. For the General category, the cutoff typically ranges between 92% and 94% of your total marks. Out of 1250 marks, this translates to a required score of approximately 1150-1175. Reserved categories such as SC and ST generally have lower cutoffs, ranging from 72% to 85%. 

The university calculates your merit based on your core subjects, excluding any extra optional marks. Since Ravenshaw University is highly competitive, Physics remains one of the most sought-after departments. You should also check for additional weightage if you have NCC, NSS, or Sports certificates. The application process for the 2026 session will be managed entirely online through the Common Prospectus.

And about using tablets in class – yes, you generally can. Most teachers are fine with it as long as you're using it for classwork or taking notes. Just double-check with your professor in case they have any specific rules.
