Factors that Affect JEE Main Cutoff 2024 for GFTIs
The JEE Main cutoff for GFTIs is not always the same. The cutoff for JEE Main is determined by several factors, including:
Difficulty level of the exam: The difficulty level of the JEE Main 2024 exam will play a crucial role in determining the cutoff for GFTIs. If the exam is relatively easy, the cutoff will be higher, and if it is difficult, the cutoff will be lower.
Number of candidates appearing for the exam: The number of candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2024 exam will also have an impact on the cutoff for GFTIs. If a large number of students score well in the exam, the cutoff will be higher, and if the number of students scoring well is low, the cutoff will be lower.
Number of seats available: The number of seats available in the GFTIs will also play a role in determining the cutoff. If the number of seats available is higher than the number of candidates, the cutoff will be lower, and if the number of seats is lower than the number of candidates, the cutoff will be higher.
Category of the candidate: The cutoff for GFTIs also varies according to the category of the candidate. Candidates belonging to the General category need to score higher marks than those belonging to reserved categories like OBC, SC, ST, and PwD.
Previous year cutoff trends: The cutoff for JEE Main 2024 for GFTIs may also be influenced by the previous year's cutoff trends. The cutoff for the current year is generally around the same as that of the previous year or slightly higher/lower depending on the above-mentioned factors.
Branch of engineering: The cutoff for GFTIs also varies depending on the branch of engineering a candidate is applying for. Some branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) have higher cutoffs as compared to other branches like Mechanical Engineering (ME).
