Assam University Admission 2023 Updates: JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration will be active till March 07, 2023. JEE Main 2023 session 2 will be conducted on April 06, 08,10, 11, and 12, 2023. JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration began on February 07, 2023. JEE Main 2023 session 1 result has been released. JEE Main 2023 session 1 was held on January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, and February 1, 2023. CUET 2023 exam will be held on May 21 to 31, 2023. NEET UG 2023 will be held on May 07, 2023.
Admission to Assam University courses is based on the student's performance in the entrance test conducted by either national authorities or the university itself and PI. Assam University UG admission 2023-24 was based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) except for the B.Tech programme which was based on JEE Main scores. Assam University Silchar was established as a central university by an Act of the Parliament of India in 1994. Assam University admissions are based on the Assam University cutoff. The overall merit list is prepared as per the weightage attributed by the candidates in their class 12 and their performance in the entrance exams. An overall weightage of 30% is given to the marks of the last academic examination degree and 70% weightage is attributed to the scores obtained by the performance of the applicants in the CUET. Assam University has made a remarkable mark for itself when it comes to successful job placements. On that note, the University has got its “Career Counselling cum placement Cell”. The cell ensures the complete training of its candidate from the enrollment stage to the offer letter stage. The cell is headed by reputed academicians, staff, and alumni that conduct a host of activities like; job networking, HR activities, campus information for recruitment, various kinds of job-related skill courses, and news and conducting webinars for various stages of training.
The “Career Counselling cum placement Cell” conducts mock and examination rounds about job interviews like; group discussion, written tests, soft skills, personality development, computer skills and soft skills. Inspirational lectures and motivational activities are also imparted to the candidates to develop confidence. During the final stages of the training process, live sessions with previously placed candidates are also conducted to understand the pros and cons of subsequent interview processes.
The “Career Counselling cum placement Cell” activities are separate from the admission process. Naturally, the announcement for the existing candidates begins by almost the end of April, when the students begin to enrol themselves for Assam University placement. Naturally, the cell also announced a host of activities such as job internships, minor projects, mega dissertations, hands-on-trainings, and skill visits. Any student, irrespective of their graduation, is made eligible to be a part of the placement cell and receive valuable training. The placement drive is conducted in different affiliated places of the institute and off-campus drives for multiple participation. Successful job placement is completed by November of every academic year.
