August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
August 25, 2025The GATE 2026 registration has been postponed to August 28, 2025. Regular applications close on September 28, with late submissions accepted until October 9. Exams will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, and results on March 19.
August 19, 2025Admission Proforma Availability for B.Tech. Courses - Students allotted courses in Puducherry Technological University (PTU) are instructed to fill the admission proforma online, which will be available after 6 p.m. on 19.8.2025. Candidates allotted seats through CSAB, CENTAC, and NEUT can do physical reporting on or after 20.8.2025 to secure admission and hostel accommodation in PTU. The first year B.Tech. classes are scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, 22nd August 2025. Parents are invited to attend the inaugural function along with their wards.
August 06, 2025The GATE 2026 schedule is now available on gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registration for GATE 2026 will begin on August 25 and will close on September 25 without a late fee, and on October 6 with a late fee. The exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. The results will be announced on March 19, 2026.
About Puducherry Technological University
Pondicherry Engineering College is a premier Government Engineering Institution funded by the Union Territory of Pondicherry, India. The college began its operation in 1984 under the VII Five Year Plan. It is an autonomous Institution managed by a Board of Governors. The College is affiliated to Pondicherry University. The college has been achieving one milestone after another since its establishment.
Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC Pondicherry) is situated at Pillaichavady of Pondicherry (UT), India, which is about 12 KM from the Railway Station and bus-stand in Pondicherry city. The average temperature ranges from 25oC to 35oC throughout the year. The campus is situated about 160 KM South of Chennai on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. The campus is well connected by town via roads and public- transports. The buses that come from Chennai via East Coast Road stop near the campus. Auroville, International city is just 3 KM away from the campus. Recently PEC Pondicherry is ranked 53 in Engineering Category by NIRF India Ranking 2018.
Pondicherry Engineering College courses are offered in Engineering and Sciences /Humanities streams. The engineering department of College provides B.Tech and M.Tech in Civil, CSE, Mechanical, ECE, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, etc. Sciences & Humanities department allows students to opt courses like; M.Sc, MCA, M.Phil, etc. College also facilitates Students to pursue Research through the Ph.D. program. Pondicherry Engineering College Admission 2025
Pondicherry Engineering College admission is granted to students who qualify for the entrance exam and meet the college’s cutoff. When the JEE Main for B.Tech exam results and the results of the exams held by CENTAC are released, they will be used as the primary criteria for evaluation together with the Puducherry Technological University B.Tech cut off 2023. Exams are administered by CENTAC for a variety of engineering, medical, and pharmacy post-graduate programmes. PTU is a JoSAA-affiliated institution. Who will be allowed to participate in the JoSAA counselling procedure will therefore be decided by the PTU JoSAA cut off 2023 following the release of the JEE Main 2023 results.
