List of Documents Required for JoSAA Counselling 2020 (Revised) - Upload Process, Instructions

Here is the list of documents required for JoSAA counselling 2020. Checklist of documents to be submitted at the time of JoSAA reporting.

JoSAA Documents List

JoSAA 2020 counselling began from October 06, 2020, and the candidates who are eligible for the counselling as per the eligibility rules specified can participate in the JoSAA counselling for the admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs or GFTIs. The 2020 JoSAA counselling has undergone some changes, and the candidates will have to upload the documents at the time of registration for JoSAA counselling/ online reporting. The list of documents that the candidates need to upload for verification is different for IITs and NITs, IIITs, GFTIs. Therefore, candidates are advised to check the list of documents required to upload at the time of registration/ online reporting.

After each round of seat allotment, the candidates will have to upload the documents mentioned below in PDF format. The candidates are not required to visit the reporting centres, and the certificates will be verified online.

JoSAA 2020: List of Documents to be Uploaded for NITs, GFTIs and IIITs

The following documents are required to be uploaded at the time of registration or online reporting for admission in NITs, GFTIs and IIITs -

Class 12th Mark Sheet/ Certificate

Class 10th Mark Sheet

Category Certificate (only applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ General-EWS)

In the case of the OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2020

JEE Main Admit Card

Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable, issued by the competent authority

Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details

Medical Certificate (in specified Format available on JoSAA-2020 format)

OCI/PIO card, if applicable

Passport (if applicable)

Should I produce the latest OBC-NCL certificate at time of reporting?

Yes. The candidates will have to submit the OBC-NCL certificate which has been issued after April 01, 2020.

Should I produce the latest EWS-Gen Certificate at the time of reporting?

The candidates will have to produce the latest EWS-Gen Certificate issued after April 01, 2020.

JoSAA 2020: List of Documents to be Uploaded for IITs

Here is the list of documents to be uploaded for admission in IITs -

Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate or Birth Certificate (for Date-of-Birth)

Class XII Mark Sheet (Qualifying Examination)

Crossed Bank Cheque copy / Image of Passbook with bank account details

Medical Certificate

Certificate of category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable

In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2020.

OCI/PIO card

Passport / Citizenship certificate, if applicable

Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ Gen-EWS)

The documents list mentioned above are mandatory, and the candidates will have to make sure that he/ she attends the certificate verification with all the required documents.
