JEE Main 2018 Result

The result of JEE Main Paper 1 is likely to be announced in the last week of April 2018, and the JEE Main Paper 2 result is expected to be declared in the month of May 2018. JEE Main result comprises of the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE Main along with the status of those candidates who qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced subject to other conditions of eligibility criteria being fulfilled.

The rank will be the All India rank and All India category rank secured by students. JEE Main AIRs are used for admission to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

Important Facts of JEE Main 2018 Result:

  • To download the JEE Main Scorecard, candidates need to mention their Birth Date and Roll No.
  • Scorecard will not be sent to the candidates. Hence, candidates are advised to download their scorecard from JEE Main official website.
  • Generally, the top 2 lakh rank holders in the JEE Main examination are selected for JEE Advanced exam. This year, numbers are expected to increase.
  • The Class 12th Marks will not be considered for the calculation of normalized score, as determined by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • JEE Main cut-off is prepared based on the Normalized score.
  • The JEE Main Score is used to prepare All the Indian Rank List and State Merit lists, which is used to offer candidates seats in IIITs, NITs and Other central Funded Technical Institutes and State government institutions.

How to Check the Result for JEE Main 2018:

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check their result.

  • Candidates must visit the official website of JEE Main.
  • Click on the indicating tab Result Joint Entrance Examination 2018.
  • Enter Date of Birth and Roll Number.
  • Then, click on the submit tab once all the necessary information is entered.
  • After that, candidates can download their respective JEE Main scorecards and take a printout for future correspondence.

Joint Admission Board (JAB) will issue the JEE Main 2018 Cut-off along with the JEE Main 2018 Result.
