JEE Main 2018 Result

The JEE Main 2018 Result along with Rank (for Paper-I) has been announced on 30th April, 2018. JEE Main result comprises of the actual marks obtained in the examination along with the status of candidates who qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced, subject to other conditions of eligibility criteria being fulfilled. The result can be obtained from the official website of JEE Main 2018.

The result will comprise of candidates' All India Ranks (AIRs) and All India category ranks. JEE Main AIRs are used for admission to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

How to Check Result for JEE Main 2018:

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check their result.

  • Candidates must visit the official website of JEE Main.
  • Click on the tab available to access the result.
  • Enter Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • Click on the 'Submit' tab once all the necessary information is entered.
  • After that, candidates will be able to download their respective JEE Main results and take a printout for future correspondence.

Important Facts of JEE Main 2018 Result:

  • Candidates are advised to download their result from the JEE Main 2018 official website.
  • To download the JEE Main result, candidates will be required to mention their Birth Date and Roll No.
  • The top 2,24,000 rank holders in the JEE Main examination are selected for JEE Advanced exam. 
  • The Class 12th Marks will not be considered for the calculation of normalised score, as determined by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • JEE Main cut-off is prepared based on the Normalized score.
  • The JEE Main Score is used to prepare All India Rank List and State Merit lists, which are used to offer candidates seats in IIITs, NITs and Other central Funded Technical Institutes and State government institutions.

JEE Main scorecard is a crucial document that candidates must carry at the time of the selection process. Following details will be available on the scorecard.

  • Score obtained in JEE Main in each paper
  • Total Marks
  • All India Rank and National Rank
  • Category Rank of Candidates

JEE Main 2018 Cut-Off

The qualifying cut-off of JEE Main 2018 for JEE Advanced 2018 will be announced soon by JAB (Joint Admission Board) as the JEE Main Result 2018 have been declared. Apart from the cut-off for JEE Advanced, JAB will also publish JEE Main cut-off 2018 for admission to the NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

Candidates who want to be considered for admission in these institutes must secure a rank or cut-off 2018, which is above the closing rank. Having a lower rank than the cut-off of JEE Main 2018 (for a particular programme/institute) means the candidate will not be eligible for admission. It is mandatory for candidates to meet the JEE Main cut-off to become eligible for further rounds of admission.

JAB will release the JEE Main cut-off 2018 category-wise, branch-wise and institution-wise. The cut-offs will vary from candidate to candidate as per the institution/course/category.
