Panjab University will not conduct an entrance exam for B.Pharm admissions due to the COVID-19 crisis. This year's admission will be based on the merit of candidates in the Class 12 board examinations.

About Panjab University B.Pharm Admission 2020

The admission for B.Pharm at Panjab University is done on the basis of a PU-CET entrance exam conducted by the university. PU CET is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Panjab University for the admission of various UG and PG courses. Panjab University B.Pharm Eligibility Criteria 2020

Before applying for the B.Pharm admissions at Panjab University, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria for B.Pharm admissions at Panjab University is as follows:

  • Candidates must have secured 50% marks in 10+2 examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and one of the following subject:- Biology/ Biotechnology / Mathematics

  • 5% relaxation will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ BC/ PwD Category

Panjab University B.Pharm Selection Process 2020

To take admission in B.Pharm course at Panjab University, the candidate needs to appear for the PU-CET Entrance Exam. PU-CET is a state-level entrance test administered by Panjab University to take admission to various UG programs.

Candidates who qualify for the PU-CET entrance exam will be qualified for admission to the B.Pharm course at Panjab University. The university will release a merit list of the qualified candidates:

PU-CET Merit list will be drawn up on the basis of:-

The final merit will be prepared on the basis of merit consisting of three components:-

  1. 75% in CET

  2. 25% in 10+2 or it's equivalent

  3. Weightage of NCC, NSS, etc

The Candidates percentile score can be calculated by using the formula mentioned below:-

P=[N-R/N]* 100

Where P is Percentage score in PU-CET Exam, N is Total Number of Students appeared and

R is Rank of the candidates in the merit list

For Example:-

If a candidates rank is 485 out 4000 candidates, then the CET Percentile will be

P=[4000-485/4000]*100

P=87.875

Panjab University B.Pharm Counselling Process 2020

The candidates who have cleared the PU-CET Entrance test will then have to appear for the counselling session for B.Pharm admissions at Panjab University:

Choice Filling:-

  • Before choice filling the candidates need to pay the counselling fee in online or offline mode as per the candidate’s preference

  • After paying the application fee the candidate needs to fill up their choice.

  • The choice filling will only be done in online mode. After choosing the choice candidates must lock their choices, no correction is allowed once preferences have been locked.

  • Seat allocation will be done based on the PU CET 2020 Merit list.

College Reporting:-

  • To secure the seats, the qualified candidates will have to report to their respective colleges.
