Dear student,

No, PU CET UG exam is a Common Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University for admissions to undergraduate programs like B.Sc (Hons), B.A, B.Com, LLB and B. Pharmacy etc. It's an offline, pen-and-paper exam, and it's a competitive exam used to rank candidates for admission.

PU CET UG does not guarantee admission to B.Tech courses.

To get admission in MA English Literature at Panjab University through the PUCET PG exam, you need to meet both the qualifying and the competitive cut-off criteria. The minimum qualifying marks (Pass Percentage) are:

  • General: at least 35% of the total marks
  • SC/ST/BC/PwDs: 30% of the total marks

Given that the entrance test is for 75 marks, this translates to:

Category Minimum Percentage Minimum Marks (Out of 75)
General 35% 26.25
SC/ST/BC/PwD 30% 22.5
