Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Admission 2026

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS), Chennai, has opened admissions for 2026 across its 169 programs in engineering, management, sciences, law, and health disciplines. Undergraduate aspirants seeking B.Tech, B.Arch, or B.Des programs must qualify HITSEEE with a minimum of 50% in 10+2 (PCM for B.Tech), while non-engineering UG courses like B.Sc. and BBA require HITSCAT with 50% aggregate. Postgraduate admissions for M.Tech, MBA, and other programs are merit-based, combining entrance test scores with GD/PI rounds, requiring 50% in the relevant bachelor’s degree.

Applications open from December 2025 through July 2026, with HITSEEE exams scheduled in April–May, followed by result announcements and counseling in June–July. HITS also offers lateral entry for diploma holders meeting 50% marks, and international/NRI candidates apply through a separate online process with AIU equivalence certificates. Annual tuition for flagship programs like B.Tech Aeronautical is expected around Rs. 3,85,000, including lab access and facilities. Selection emphasizes merit, entrance scores, and reserved category norms for SC/ST/OBC candidates, ensuring transparency and equal opportunity. Applicants must submit required documents such as 10th and 12th mark sheets, entrance rank cards, transfer/migration certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and government-issued IDs during the counseling process.
