The Hindustan University Library system consists of a Central Library and Departmental Libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to use the Library facilities enrolling membership. Besides, the Library has a huge collection of books on Engineering, Science and Humanities through its various divisions.
Hindustan Institute of Science & Technology has separate hostels for boys and girls with well-furnished rooms and modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on studies. The hostels have well-furnished air-conditioned and regular rooms with attached restrooms providing the right ambiance for the students. State- of – the- art kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels and a customized menu caters to the student’s needs. Hygiene and cleanliness are emphasized in the hostel. All the hostels offer a variety of services and opportunities for students. Staff members residing in the hostel are assigned to address academic and personal problems of the students. Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available.There are seven hostels within the campus catering to the needs of the students.
Indian Overseas Bank is situated within the University campus to cater to the banking needs of the students and staff. The Indian Overseas Bank, Padur Branch was inaugurated on 28 December 2012 in the new building inside the Hindustan University Campus by Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Pro-Chancellor, Hindustan University in the presence of Mr. A.D.M. Chavali, Executive Director, Indian Overseas Bank and Mr. K. Parthasarathy, Chief Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank.
The University is on the main arterial road to the Chennai city. Scores of public transport buses ply before the University campus and many day scholars use this service. Comfortable air-conditioned buses are also available. The University operates a fleet of 50 buses to all the important city spots for the benefit of students and staff. The services of University buses are utilized for industrial visits, and excursions.
There are six seminar halls which are fully air-conditioned and well equipped for seminars and presentations.
