IIIT Ranchi Admission 2024 - Dates, Form, Online Process, Fees

IIIT Ranchi admission 2024 has started. Students can register for JEE Main 2024 session 2 until March 2, 2024. JEE Main 2024 session 2 will be held from April 4 - April 15, 2024. On the other hand, GATE 2024 is scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. GATE 2024 is the entrance exam for IIIT Ranchi MTech admissions 2024. 

Given below is the application process for BTech at IIT Ranchi.

Candidates seeking admission to the BTech course of IIIT Ranchi must apply through the JEE Main application form.

The JEE Main application form can be filled from the official website of NTA.

Candidates must ensure that they provide the correct details in the application form and pay the required fee.

There is no need to fill any separate application form of the institute.

IIIT Ranchi Eligibility Criteria 2020

IIIT Ranchi requires candidates to fulfil certain eligibility conditions in order to be able to get a seat in any course. Those candidates who fail in satisfying the conditions are not called for counselling even if they give the JEE Mains and get the required rank in it.

It is a must for the candidate to have qualified his/her 12th standard final exams in the same year that he/she is planning to take admission in IIIT Ranchi or in the year previous to that.

The maximum age of the candidate should be 25 years in the year the candidate is taking admission in the institute if he/she belongs to the general category. If the candidate belongs to the category of a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, he/she is given a relaxation of 5 years. Hence he/she should not be more than 30 years of age.

Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry must have been the compulsory subjects in the candidate’s subjects of class 12th.

It is mandatory for the candidate to have received at least 75 per cent marks in the compulsory subjects that are mentioned above if he/she belongs to the general category. A relaxation of 10 percent marks is given to the candidates of SC and ST categories. Therefore, they must have at least 65 percent marks in their final exams of class 12th compulsory subjects.

The candidate will have to appear for the All India engineering entrance exam, JEE Mains, of the same year in which he/she wants to take admission compulsorily. The candidate must have secured a valid rank in the entrance exam of JEE Mains to be considered for admission.

IIIT Ranchi BTech Selection Process 2020

The selection of candidates for BTech seats at IIIT Ranchi is based on merit in JEE Main. Candidates have to appear for counselling conducted by JoSAA and the selection is as per the process given below.

Candidates have to select IIIT Ranchi has their preferred college when applying through JoSAA.

JoSAA BTech online seat allotment is conducted under which a candidate may be given admission to IIT Ranchi, depending on their rank.
Candidates who are unable to get a confirmed seat in IIIT Ranchi can wait for further rounds of seat allotment.

Candidates whose seats are confirmed are required to report to the nearest Reporting Centre with the necessary documents to confirm their admission.

Candidates interested in applying for MTech admissions at IIIT Ranchi must fill the GATE application form.

The application form must be filled through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) by providing all of the necessary details and paying the application fee.

Candidates do not need to fill any separate IIIT Ranchi MTech application form. All applications are accepted through GATE only.
