KL University Guntur provides a wide range of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. In addition, the university provides integrated B.Tech and M.Tech by research programmes in a variety of disciplines. It has a centralised application process for all programmes. Students can apply online or in person, with an application cost of Rs 1000.
The KL University application process is the same for all of KL university UG and PG courses. It can be completed online or acquired in person from the university's admissions office.
The B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Arch programmes at the UG level are offered for KL University admissions in a variety of specialisations. The minimum requirements for qualifying are a 10+2 degree from an accredited board and at least 60% in the relevant subject area.

Programmes for B.Sc., BCA, BA, B.Com, LL.B., BBA, and LL.B. are available in several KL University centres. Candidates with a 10+2 diploma may apply for all of these programmes, with the exception of LL.B., which requires a graduate degree. Merit-based admission is available for BA and LL.B programmes, however for BBA, BBA+MBA, B.Sc, BHM, BCA, and B.Com programmes, applicants must also pass a written exam and an interview. An interview round serves as the basis for final acceptance.

A relevant BE, B.Tech, or M.Sc degree with an overall average of 55% is the minimum requirement for admission to the M.Tech. programme. The prerequisite for the MA/M.Com, MBA, and M.Sc. programmes is a Bachelor's degree in the pertinent field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 55%. KL University admission to the M.Tech, MA, M.Com, and M.Sc. programmes is determined by academic performance, followed by an interview. Candidates who have completed the GATE exam are also eligible to apply for the M.Tech. programme. A valid score on the KL University BSAT administered by the university is required for the MBA programme, as is a score on the CAT/MAT/XAT/ICET followed by an interview.

The KL (Deemed to be) University provides both full-time and part-time PhD programmes in a number of specialities. The minimal requirement to apply for these courses is a master's degree in the pertinent field with at least a 55% overall average. Applications for doctoral programmes can be submitted online twice a year, between June and December. The university requires applicants to take an entrance exam, which is followed by an interview. The only criterion used for selection is merit.
