SITM (Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management) is one of the popular institutes in India that offers an MBA course in Telecom Management. Apart from MBA, SITM offers Executive MBA course. The admission process for SITM MBA and Executive MBA courses begins on different dates. SITM releases an official admission notification and schedule for MBA course in September or October every year while the admission notification for Executive MBA course is released in January every year.
Students applying for an MBA course at SITM must note that a valid score in SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is mandatory for the admission. Only those candidates with a valid SNAP score will be considered for the admission process. Aspiring students must note that they should submit separate application forms for SNAP and SITM MBA course. The online application form can be submitted through the official websites of SNAP and SITM.
SITM notifies the admission schedule for MBA course after the announcement of SNAP results. The MBA admissions process of SITM involves different stages and the candidates must clear all the stages to secure admission.
As far as the Executive MBA course concerned, the admission process is quite different from the MBA course. A separate admission brochure will be released for Executive MBA course. Candidates can register for Executive MBA course through the official website of SITM.
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% of the marks. For SC/ ST categories, the minimum marks required in the Bachelor’s degree should be 45%.The candidates must qualify SNAP entrance exam to be eligible for SITM MBA admission process.
The SITM selection process for MBA course majorly involves three stages. The candidates must clear all the stages to secure MBA admission at SITM. The detailed selection process of SITM for MBA course can be checked below –
Stage 1 – Preliminary Shortlisting of Candidates
SITM shall shortlist the candidates based on his/ her score in the SNAP entrance exam.
Candidates’ past academic record will be also considered for preliminary shortlisting.
Only shortlisted candidates at this stage shall be eligible for Stage 2 selection process of SITM.
Stage 2 – GE-PIWAT
The shortlisted candidates in Stage 1 will be invited to participate in GE (Group Exercises), PI (Personal Interview), and WAT (Written Ability Test).
The candidates must perform well in these activities, as these activities have a specific weightage in the selection process for SITM MBA course.
Stage 3 – Final Selection
The overall performance of candidates in SNAP and stage 2 selection process are taken into consideration for final selection. The final selection of candidates for MBA course of SITM is based on the following criteria –

Selection for SITM Executive MBA is done based on the profile of applicants, SITM shortlists the candidates for Personal InterviewThe shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview/ Interaction on the date specified by SITM. Final selection of candidates will be based on the candidate’s profile and performance in the personal interview.
