• Candidates for economics, physics, and chemistry must have studied and passed mathematics in Class12.
• Candidates applying for the nutrition course must have biology and chemistry in Class 12 or nutrition with biology or chemistry.

PG Courses:

• At the postgraduate level, the college offers three regular two-year courses. Admission to 60 per cent of total seats in each course will be based solely on the candidate's performance in the Vidyasagar University's final BA (H)/B.Sc (H) examinations. A merit list is compiled from the VU candidates.
• Admission to the remaining 40% of seats will be made through the open competition after considering 50% of the merit in the college's PG Entrance Examination and 50% of the merit in the final BA (H)/B.Sc (H) examinations. Candidates from other universities are welcome to apply in this category.
• Candidates applying for the entrance exam must have completed their final exams with a minimum of 45 per cent in BA and 50 per cent in B.Sc.
• Candidates from the reserved categories are given a 5% discount.
• Individual counselling will be held for both categories, with final admission granted after payment of the required fee.

The Bajkul Milani Mahavidyalaya Library was established in 1964 alongside the College by Calcutta University. After 1996, more academic departments were established. As users' needs grew, the library expanded to meet the growing academic needs of students, teachers, and non-teaching employees.
