Medical Standards for Admission to Bachelor Programmes - Candidates will have to submit a certificate of medical fitness/handicap at the time of counselling and admission. The following medical standards must be met: Candidates should be physically fit to pursue their studies in the opted course. There should be no abnormalities in heart and lung functions. Any presence of hernia, hydrocele, or piles must be corrected before joining. Vision must be normal, with corrections to 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye if defective. Eyes should be free from congenital or any other disease. Hearing must be normal, and any defects must be corrected before joining. Candidates with physical handicaps/disabilities must meet specific criteria: Type I - Minimum 40% permanent visual impairment, Type II - Minimum 40% permanent locomotor disability, Type III - Minimum 40% permanent speech and hearing impairment.
