LBC Kolkata Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

At Lady Brabourne College (LBC) the students are endowed with all convenient amenities that make their life 'go easy' in college hours, alongside make learning more interesting. Some of the facilities include well ventilated classrooms, recreational areas, hostel facility for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor games, stocked library, seamless internet/wifi connectivity, medical facilities etc.

Outstation students who take admission to the college are extended the facilities of a college Hostel which is situated adjacent to the college premises. Messing in the Hostel is maintained on hygienic standards and boarders are required to observe the rules. Ragging is strictly prohibited. Fortunately, so far, there has been no untoward incidence.

Seats numbering 207 are allotted purely on the basis of merit. The Principal is the ex-officio in-charge of the hostel which is run by supervisory staff under the superintendent. The hostel is provided with library and gym facilities, apart from the usual medium of entertainment and pastime in the common room. UGC has sanctioned funds for the construction of an additional Hostel for both UG and PG students where by the number of seats will go up to 315 from 207.

A new hostel building, funded by the UGC in the last phase of the tenth plan, is nearing completion and is expected to accommodate PG and senior UG students.
