The College is situated in an area of approximately 15 acres can boast to have one of the best infrastructures equipped with modern amenities. It is constantly being refashioned and updated to cater to the needs of 5200 students, 150 teaching faculty and 80 non-teaching faculty members.
The College has buildings with spacious classrooms, sprawling lawns, Conference Hall with audio visual aids, an auditorium, 27 sophisticated labs, recreational facilities of indoor games and vast playgrounds. A Student Centre building, named Maharaja Ranjit Singh Bhawan, adds to the pride of the College. It offers facilities like Canteen, Stationary Shop, Photostat/ STD facilities and houses Students Council Office and Alumni Office. A ramp was constructed in the recent past to ease movement of the physically handicapped and medically unfit persons, in keeping with the guidelines of the Chandigarh Administration. An SBI branch is located on the College campus exclusively for the benefit of students and College employees.

The SGGS College Boys Hostel is located within the college campus adjoining Science block in front of the college Gurudwara . Late Jathedar S. Gurcharan Singh Tohra, the then President SGPC laid the foundation Stone of this hostel on 16th November,1990. It becomes fully functional in 1992. S. Ajit Singh Sardhadi, Capt. Manjit Singh and PSEB Finance and investment ltd. were its founder donors.
The hostel is situated in the college premises amidst the tranquil ambience that pervades the surroundings. It offers a pleasant living experience to its residents who come from different states and countries.
The Red Ribbon Club of the College aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Nutrition and Reproductive and Sexual Health and building their capacities as peer educators in spreading message on positive health behavior in an enabling environment.
