SIT provides a very enriching and rewarding experience to all students. Student's routine includes an optimal mix of work and play or leisure. Curriculum and pedagogy have been designed in a way to make the teaching-learning process interesting. Project based learning, problem based learning, choice of elective subjects of one's interest even from outside the curriculum of SIT make the students really interested and involved. In addition, activities like Weeklong Induction Programme, right in the first week of the programme,, mentor-mentee system and strong bond between the students and faculty make the students always eager and motivated to learn. Year round organization of technical sports and cultural activities at departmental level, intra-institutional level and inter-institutional level keep the students occupied and they enjoy being part of these activities. Annual calendar of activities, planning and organizing the activities by the student bodies and the reward system through healthy competitions contribute to life on campus. Pleasant weather of Pune, a food court on campus ,play grounds, gymnasium and other facilities make the stay at SIT campus comfortable and conducive for learning and growth.

The Entrepreneurship Promotion and Innovation Cell [EPIC] is an active student body at Symbiosis Institute of Technology, formed with the intention of promoting entrepreneurial spirit and culture for innovation among the students. It conducts various events to expose the students to the world of entrepreneurship and to inculcate in them the spirit for innovation and creativity. EPCI aims at creating an environment in the campus wherein the students prefer to think beyond the routine campus jobs and enthusiastically come forward to embrace the journey of entrepreneurship. It also aspires to motivate students to believe in themselves and their creative instincts. accommodation will be provided on a first-come-first serve basis, with preference being given to first year students, and girl students.
<ul> <li>Provision of hostel accommodation at the time of admission, for non-residential academic programmes does not automatically ensure its continuation in the subsequent years.</li> <li>The student has to apply every year for <strong>re- allotment</strong> in the specified performa.</li> <li>Accommodation to candidates who apply for re- allotment will be provided subject to availability.</li> <li>Re- allotment can be denied to students with TNG, low academic performance and those indulging in acts of indiscipline.</li> </ul>
