Entrance Exams Accepted by MBA Colleges in Uttar Pradesh

Not all MBA colleges in Uttar Pradesh consider national-level management entrance exam scores for admission to the MBA course. NTA conducts UPCET every year for MBA admissions. The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) used to conduct the UPCET MBA exam and earlier it was known as the UPSEE exam.

UPCET MBA is a common entrance exam for all the MBA colleges in Uttar Pradesh (except for national-level premier institutes such as Indian Institutes of Technology or Indian Institutes of Management). Candidates applying for UPCET MBA need not apply to each college individually. However, candidates with national-level entrance exam scores must apply for each institute that accepts any of the entrance test scores (except UPCET MBA) individually.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA Admissions in Uttar Pradesh 2023

Basic Requirements: Students aspiring to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Uttar Pradesh must note that the minimum qualification required is a Bachelor’s degree from any stream with 50% marks. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will have a 5% relaxation in the marks or percentage. The applicants must have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in Class 12.

Entrance Exam: For getting admission to the MBA course, the candidates must also have a valid UPCET MBA/ CMAT/ ATMA/ MAT/ CAT score. Candidates with a valid score in any one of the entrance exams are eligible to apply for MBA in Uttar Pradesh.

CMAT Merit List 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CMAT 2023 Merit List on the official website after the CMAT 2023 results are announced during the final week of April 2023. A PDF version of the CMAT 2023 merit list will be available for download at cmat.nta.nic.in. The CMAT Merit List includes the names of all applicants, regardless of how well they fared on the test.
Together with the candidate's overall and final scores, the AIR is also featured on the CMAT Merit List. This is carried out in line with regular selection procedures.
