List of NITs for JEE Main 2023 Rank 25,000 to 50,000: If you are wondering whether with a 25K to 50K rank in JEE Main 2023, can you get admission into the top engineering colleges like the National Insitute of Technology (NIT) that answer is YES. Any rank between 25,000 and 50,000 is considered a pretty good rank in the JEE Main 2023, and with this rank, you can get admission into NITs like NIT Roorkee, NIT Durgapur, NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, etc. Moreover, not only in NIT, with a 25K to 50K rank in JEE Main 2023, you are eligible for JEE Advanced and can fight to get a seat in IITs. Given the fact, that between 5 to 20 lakh candidates appear for the JEE Main exam every year a 25,000 to 50,000 rank is considered decent in JEE Main exam. JEE Main 2023 Phase 1 is being held from January 24 to February 1, 2023, and Phase 2 from April 6 to 12, 2023. After JEE Main exam is conducted, the cutoff will be released based on which students will be offered admission in 31 NITs, 23 IITs, 26 IIITs, 29 GFTIs, IIEST and other JEE Main participating colleges.

In this article, you can check the list of NITs for JEE Main 2023 Rank 25,000 to 50,000 given on this post.

List of Colleges Accepting 25,000 to 50,000 Rank in JEE Main 2023

List of Colleges Accepting 25,000 to 50,000 Rank in JEE Main 2023 - NTA has released the JEE Main 2023 result for session 1 on February 7, 2023, on its official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. The National Testing Agency is set to conduct the JEE Main 2023 exam across 2 phases in January and April 2023. The phase 1 exam dates were January 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, 2023, and February 1, 2023, for Paper 1 and January 28, 2023, for Paper 2. The phase 2 exam is scheduled to be held on April 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2023. With more than 22 lakh candidates expected to be appearing for this year’s JEE Main exam 2023, any rank between the 25,000 and 50,000 rank bracket is considered exemplary by the JEE experts. Such candidates seldom have to think about the colleges that are available for them as options unlike those who have secured any rank between the 50,000 and 75,000 rank bracket. It, however, must be addressed that although some top-ranked IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other reputed private engineering institutions open their doors for candidates with 25,000 to 50,000 rank in JEE Main 2023 exam, such candidates do not have the luxury to choose from all the reputed institutions and courses (compared to rank holders below 25k).

There are many questions that will rise in the mind of the students after the conclusion of JEE Misn 2023 exam. Some of the questions that are struct are Which are the colleges for 50000 rank in JEE Mains? Which are the colleges for 40000 rank in JEE Mains? Worry not. In this article, we will discuss mainly those colleges and the courses they offer for JEE Main 2023 rank holders between 25000 and 50000 based on the previous year’s JoSAA seat allotment result.

How to Calculate JEE Main 2023 Percentile Score: Check Normalization Process

How to Calculate JEE Main 2023 Percentile Score: The percentile-based normalisation procedure enables NTA to prepare ranks of JEE Main 2023. Students can check the complete process of the JEE Main 2023 percentile-based normalisation procedure that is used to calculate the score and allot ranks below. The percentile-based scoring mechanism/ normalisation procedure will be incorporated in JEE Main 2023. NTA (National Testing Agency) has published the percentile-based normalisation procedure for JEE Main 2023. The normalisation procedure will help students to understand how to calculate percentile score in JEE Main 2023.

Importance of Normalisation Procedure based on Percentile Score for Upcoming JEE Main 2023

NTA conducts JEE Main 2023 exam on multiple days with two sessions per day. In each session, students will get different sets of question papers, and the difficulty level may not be the same across all sets of question papers. Despite NTA’s efforts to maintain a similar difficulty level across all sessions of the JEE Main 2023 exam, some of the candidates may attempt a tougher question paper when compared to other sets. Therefore, these students end up getting lower marks in JEE Main 2023 than the candidates who attempted an easier question paper.

In order to provide justice to the candidates who attempted a difficult or tough question paper, NTA uses a normalisation procedure based on percentile scores so that the candidates are neither benefited nor disadvantaged. The true merit of the candidate can be identified through the normalisation procedure. Therefore, NTA compiles JEE Main 2023 scores for multiple session question papers through a normalisation procedure based on percentile scores.

      What is Normalisation Procedure?

Normalisation procedure is a popular practice of comparing candidates’ score across multiple sessions question papers. Percentile equivalence is used for normalisation across all sections of the exam. Normalisation procedure is incorporated in all popular national and state-level entrance exams.

The normalisation process is used to derive a solution affected by different shifts and different question papers. It assures that applicants are not disadvantaged or benefitted as a result of the examination's difficulty level. The goal is to uphold the rule of law and find actual merit.

Normalization is a well-established method for comparing candidate scores over multiple-session examinations, and it is comparable to the method used in other major educational selection tests in India.

      JEE Main 2023 Percentile Score

Percentile scores indicate the relative performance of all students who appear for the JEE Main 2023 exam. The marks obtained by students in JEE Main 2023 shall be transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each JEE Main exam session of examines.

For example, Percentile scores denote the percentage of students who scored equal or below marks than the student who scored the highest marks in a particular session of JEE Main 2023 exam. The marks of these students will be transformed into a percentile. A percentile score is denoted for each session of JEE Main 2023, the topper of each session exam will get 100 percentile in JEE Main 2023.

The percentile score is the normalised score for the JEE Main 2023 exam, and it is used to prepare the merit/ rank list of 2023 JEE Main . In order to avoid inequality or bunching effect and reduce ties, JEE Main 2023 percentile scores are calculated up to 7 decimal places.

Highest Raw Score and Percentile Score

For each session in which the applicants attended, their highest raw score will be normalised to a 100 percentile score. For each session, the highest raw results will be turned into normalised percentile scores of 100.

Lowest Raw Score and Percentile Score

The total number of candidates taking the exam for each session is used to calculate the lowest raw score. For the lowest raw score, the percentile score is different.

How to Calculate Percentile Score in JEE Mains 2023?

The following are required to calculate JEE Main 2023 percentile score –

      • Total number of candidates appeared in a particular session of JEE Main 2023 exam
