Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University Campus and Infrastructure

DBUU's campus spreads across 42 acres in Chakrata Road, Manduwala, Dehradun, set in the foothills of the Shivalik Hills. The university name "Dev Bhoomi" is drawn from Uttarakhand's identity as the "Land of Gods," reflecting the region's spiritual and cultural legacy. The campus includes academic blocks, workshops, laboratories, faculty rooms, an auditorium, seminar halls, computer labs, a library, canteen, and sports facilities. Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions began as an engineering college in 2005 under the name Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology (DBIT) before expanding into a full university. The campus is designed to support both academic and co-curricular activities within a green, secure, and self-governed environment.

  • Lush Green Campus The DBUU campus is built across 42 acres of green land with well-maintained gardens, open spaces, and tree-lined pathways. Academic blocks, workshops, and laboratories are spread across the campus to ensure easy access for students from all schools. The campus environment supports a focused learning atmosphere with clean surroundings and a moderate Dehradun climate year-round. Security is maintained across the campus to ensure student safety during academic hours and residential stays. The campus is designed to serve as a self-contained academic environment covering study, residence, sports, and recreation within one premises.
  • Conference Hall & Video Conference Room DBUU has a dedicated Conference Hall used for academic meetings, faculty sessions, administrative discussions, and formal university events. The Video Conference Room enables remote meetings, online guest lectures, and virtual collaborations with institutions and industry professionals. These facilities support both internal university functions and external academic partnerships. The rooms are equipped with audio-visual systems to facilitate clear communication and presentations. Students and faculty both utilise these spaces for seminars, reviews, and research discussions.
  • Seminar Halls DBUU has multiple seminar halls located across different buildings and schools within the campus. These include the Seminar Hall in the Ayurveda block, two seminar halls on the main building's ground and first floors, and a dedicated seminar hall for the School of Management and Commerce (SoMC). Each seminar hall is equipped with presentation and audio-visual infrastructure to support guest lectures, workshops, student presentations, and academic events. The availability of school-specific seminar halls ensures students have access to facilities relevant to their department without cross-campus travel.
  • Transport Facility DBUU operates its own fleet of buses for day scholars commuting to and from the university across various routes in Dehradun, with designated pick-up and drop-off points. The service is available at nominal charges, making it an accessible commuting option for students from different parts of the city. Separate transport arrangements are in place for university staff to ensure efficient movement within and around the campus. The bus service is intended to reduce travel-related stress and allow students to arrive on campus well-rested and ready for academic sessions. Students using the university transport do not need to depend on public transport, saving both time and daily commuting effort. The service reflects DBUU's commitment to making the academic journey convenient for all enrolled students.
  • Ambulance & Medical Facility DBUU operates a 24/7 ambulance service on campus, available at all times to respond to medical emergencies involving students, staff, or visitors. The ambulances are staffed by trained medical personnel equipped to handle a range of emergency situations efficiently and promptly. In critical cases, the ambulance transports the patient to the on-campus hospital or a nearby medical centre for further treatment and care. The service is also available for non-emergency medical transport to nearby healthcare facilities, subject to prior arrangement with university authorities. The ambulance facility functions alongside the university's in-house hospital to provide a comprehensive medical safety net for all campus residents. Together, these services ensure that students living in hostels or attending classes have access to immediate medical attention at any hour.
  • Library — Swami Vivekananda Central Library The Central Library at DBUU holds a collection of over 96,288 volumes covering 10,584 unique titles across a wide range of academic disciplines and subject areas. The library uses an automated library management system that allows students and faculty to search, locate, and borrow books efficiently without manual processes. Round-the-clock online access is available through platforms including Turnitin, Knimbus, and the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), enabling students to access learning materials from anywhere at any time. The library also maintains subscriptions to international journals and academic databases, providing access to current research and scholarly publications from around the world. A dedicated reading section offers a quiet environment for individual study, reference reading, and research work during library hours. The library is designed to support continuous learning and academic research as a core part of student life at DBUU.
  • School-Specific Libraries In addition to the central library, DBUU maintains separate libraries for individual schools and programmes across the campus. These include dedicated libraries for DBMCAH, DBSA, DBMCPS, SoPR, SoMC, and SoN (School of Nursing). Each school library holds subject-specific books, reference materials, and resources aligned with the curriculum of that programme. This structure ensures students in specialised fields such as nursing, pharmacy, architecture, and management have direct access to relevant academic material. School libraries function as supplementary reading and study spaces alongside the central Swami Vivekananda Library.
  • Computer Lab & Computer Centre DBUU's Computer Centre is equipped with high-performance computing systems optimised for speed and efficiency, capable of handling demanding academic and research tasks. The centre supports an advanced server infrastructure that includes Linux servers, domain servers, database servers, backup servers, ERP systems, and storage servers to meet diverse academic requirements. Dedicated labs are available for both Linux and Windows environments, with the latest licensed software and hardware installed for practical learning across engineering, computer science, and allied programmes. The entire campus — including academic departments, hostels, and central facilities — is connected through a high-speed 1 GBPS fiber optic network, ensuring seamless internet access at all times. Lab facilities are designed to give students hands-on experience with real-world tools and technologies relevant to their course curriculum. The Computer Centre serves students across multiple schools and programmes, supporting both coursework and independent research and development activity.
  • Sports Facilities DBUU provides dedicated outdoor sports infrastructure including grounds for cricket, football, and kabaddi, as well as courts for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. Indoor sports facilities on campus include table tennis and chess, with equipment and space maintained for regular student use. The Sphurti Sports Club operates through these facilities, organising inter-college competitions, intra-college leagues, and the annual Sports Week — a week-long programme featuring tournaments and workshops. Sports Week covers a wide range of games and encourages participation from students across all schools and years of study. The university believes sports play an essential role in developing teamwork, discipline, leadership, and overall physical fitness among students. All sports grounds and courts are accessible to enrolled students as part of the campus's commitment to holistic student development beyond academics.
  • Accommodation & Hostel Facility DBUU offers on-campus hostel accommodation for both male and female students in separate hostel complexes with rooms available in single, double, triple, and quad-occupancy configurations. All hostel rooms are furnished with basic furniture, Wi-Fi connectivity, and 24/7 electricity to support a comfortable and productive residential environment. On-site services available to hostel residents include laundry facilities, first-aid access, and easy access to the central library and other campus resources. Common recreation rooms in the hostels are equipped with HD televisions, a range of indoor games, and newspapers, providing students with spaces to relax and socialise outside study hours. The hostel premises are maintained in a clean, pollution-free environment, with security in place to ensure the safety of all residents at all times. Medical facilities including first-aid and access to the campus ambulance service are available to hostel residents in case of health-related needs.
  • Food Court Facility The DBUU Food Court serves students and faculty with a wide variety of cuisine options, ranging from regional Indian dishes to international food items, catering to the diverse tastes of the student community. Meals are prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure nutritional value and hygiene standards are maintained throughout daily operations. The food court is designed to offer affordable meal options so that students can access regular, satisfying food without significant expense. Separate boys and girls mess facilities are also operational within the hostel premises, providing daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner to resident students. The overall food infrastructure on campus — including the food court and hostel mess — is intended to ensure that students are well-nourished to support their academic and physical activity. The food facilities are conveniently located within the campus to allow easy access between classes, hostel blocks, and academic buildings.
  • Auditorium Facility DBUU has multiple auditoriums on campus with a combined seating capacity exceeding 1,000, designed to accommodate large-scale academic and cultural events. Each auditorium is equipped with high-quality speakers, projectors, and digital mixers to ensure clear audio and visual output for presentations, performances, and conferences. The spaces are adaptable and can be configured for various event formats — from large conferences and seminars to smaller workshops, panel discussions, and student-led programmes. Dedicated technical staff is available to assist with audio-visual setup and operation, ensuring smooth execution of events held in these venues. Academic events including webinars, guest lectures, and skill development workshops such as hackathons and training sessions are regularly conducted in the auditoriums. Cultural events including debates, performances, and student initiatives are also held in these spaces throughout the academic year.
  • E-Vehicle Facility DBUU promotes eco-friendly transportation on campus through the use of electric vehicles (E-Vehicles) for the movement of students, faculty, staff, and visitors within the university premises. The E-Vehicles help reduce carbon emissions and minimise noise pollution, contributing to a cleaner and quieter campus environment. The university has installed E-Vehicle charging stations on campus to support continuous and uninterrupted operation of the electric fleet. This initiative reflects DBUU's commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable campus practices. The use of E-Vehicles for intra-campus mobility also ensures safe and convenient movement, particularly for students moving between distant academic blocks, hostels, and central facilities. The E-Vehicle programme aligns with broader sustainability goals and encourages adoption of green technology within the university community.
  • Cafeteria Facility DBUU operates an open-air cafeteria on campus in partnership with Nescafe, offering students a relaxed space to unwind and refuel between academic sessions. The cafeteria menu includes freshly baked muffins and sandwiches, aromatic coffee in multiple flavours, refreshing cold beverages, and piping hot snacks available throughout the day. Coffee is available in a range of preparations to suit different preferences, serving as a popular option for students during morning hours and afternoon study breaks. The open-air setting of the cafeteria provides a comfortable and informal environment distinct from the indoor food court and hostel mess facilities. Food and beverages at the cafeteria are priced to be accessible for students on everyday budgets. The cafeteria serves as a social space on campus where students and faculty can take breaks, interact informally, and recharge during the academic day.
  • Gymnasium Facility DBUU provides separate, well-equipped gymnasium facilities for male and female hostel residents, located within the campus for easy and regular access. The gym is stocked with a range of fitness equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, cross trainers, stretching machines, suspension trainers, abdominal benches, and weight training equipment. Certified weight and fitness trainers are available on campus to guide students through workout routines, answer fitness-related queries, and ensure exercises are performed safely and effectively. The gymnasium is designed to support both cardiovascular fitness and strength training, accommodating students with different fitness levels and goals. Regular gym access allows hostel students to maintain physical fitness and manage academic stress as part of a balanced daily routine. The facility is part of DBUU's broader commitment to supporting the physical and mental well-being of its student community.
  • ATM & Banking Facility DBUU has partnered with a nationalised bank to maintain banking accounts and services directly on the university campus for the convenience of students and staff. An ATM is located within the university premises, allowing students to withdraw cash without needing to travel outside the campus to access banking services. This facility saves students time and effort, particularly for those living in hostels who may need regular access to funds for daily expenses, fees, or personal needs. The on-campus banking arrangement supports smooth financial transactions related to academic fees, hostel charges, and day-to-day student requirements. The ATM operates independently of university hours, providing access to cash at any time as needed by students or staff. The facility reflects DBUU's effort to make campus life as self-sufficient and convenient as possible for its resident and day-scholar student community.
  • Virtual Tour DBUU offers a virtual campus tour, allowing prospective students to explore the university's infrastructure and facilities remotely before visiting in person. The virtual tour covers key campus areas including academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, sports grounds, and common areas. This facility is particularly useful for students from outside Uttarakhand or from other states and countries who are considering admission. The virtual tour is accessible through the official DBUU website. It provides a visual overview of the campus environment, helping students and parents make informed decisions about admission.

Infrastructure: We have a spacious library with books for different courses. The classrooms are big enough and well-ventilated. The building for our department is new and has a quite nice infrastructure. While the university is situated in the outskirts of the main city surrounded with trees and a quiet, green, fresh and peaceful environment.

Hostel: I'm a day scholar, so I do not have much idea about the hostel facilities but my colleagues have fairly reviewed the hostel. It is good and all the necessary facilities are provided at first including medical, sports and accomodations.

Infrastructure review

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very vast as every program has its own building like management and journalism building, computer science building , pharmacy and many more. Labs are also there which are well maintained but I feel like the floor inside the building should be worked on like wirings in top floors are visible and benches of top floors are also not in good condition.

Hostel: Hostel is worst in the college I would say as hostels are so bad only ground floor is well maintained not others floors. Food in hostel is horible as many students have health issues after that. Hostels do have good wifi connection and laundry service is also there but the clothes after laundry are received late to us.

Dear Student,

If you had floated your NCHMCT JEE 2025 first round seat, the deadline to upload documents and pay fees was June 5, 2025. Document uploading, choice of willingness (Floating/ Freezing), payment of seat acceptance fees of INR 20,000, and verification by the document verification centre started on June 3, 2025. “Float” option implies that if you are allotted a new seat in the 2nd round, the seat offered to you earlier would automatically be cancelled. After this, the cancelled seat would be allotted to the candidate next in merit who might have wanted to opt for that seat through his/her earlier submitted choices. The documents required for NCHMCT JEE 2025 Counselling include document supporting reservation claim (Category certificate/ PwD certificate/ KM certificate), Class 10/ date of birth certificate, NCHMCT JEE 2025 admit card, NCHMCT JEE 2025 result/ scorecard, NCHMCT JEE 2025 application form, and Medical Certificate.
