Ganpat University Campus: Hostel Fees, Mess, Facilities, Infrastructure

The Ganpat University campus is spread across 300 acres, and the university has several institutional buildings, hostels for boys and girls along with a sports complex. There is also a shopping complex on the campus that has about 20 shops. It is constructed in the vicinity of the hostel blocks. It caters to the daily needs of the students, like stationery, groceries, laundry, and grooming.

TheGanpat University hostel rooms are spacious, with natural light and proper ventilation. All the rooms have attached bathrooms. The room also has a study table and a chair for students. The hostels have 24-hour electricity and water supply. The Ganpat University hostel also has facilities like a water cooler, a common telephone, and a common TV room. The hostel has secure Wi-Fi internet connectivity. The hostels also have a proper security system in place, and a security guard is appointed for each hostel building. Lady wardens are appointed for girls’ hostels.

The above mentioned fees are applicable for all new admissions at the University Institute only except the Department of Maritime Studies & International Student's Hostel.

The university also has various other Ganpat University facilities listed below:

Library: The Ganpat University library consists of newspapers, books, journals, etc. The college also has a digital library facility providing e-journals, e-books, etc.

Transportation: Ganpat University provides transportation facilities from various locations. It has a fleet of 49 buses that are available for students as well as staff members.

Bank: There are two banks inside the Ganpat University campus: The State Bank of India, and the Mehsana Urban Co-operative bank. This bank has a 24-hour ATM facility.

Post Office: The Ganpat University campus also has a post office facility for students and staff. All the standard facilities are available here.

Cafeteria: Ganpat University cafeteria serves a variety of cuisines such as Gujarati, South Indian, Punjabi, etc. The cafeteria serves hygienic food and maintains food health standards.

Open Theatre: Ganpat University also has an open theatre which is mostly used for cultural programs, youth festivals or annual programmes. The open theatre can accommodate 10000 students at a time.

Hostels: The campus of Ganpat University has hostel facilities for boys and girls, and the hostels are equipped with an array of contemporary amenities. GUNI hostels have a capacity of 3000 students. Each of the hostels consists of a separate mess i.e. dining area. The hostels also have a separate administrative office and warden quarter. The hostels have well-furnished rooms and other facilities such as free high-speed Wi-Fi connection, gymnasium, medical centre and other amenities for shopping, sports, recreation, and entertainment.

Women Development Cell: Ganpat University also has a women development cell for students. It plays a vital role in empowering women and also works for sexual harassment and gender discrimination. The cell also ensures that the fundamental rights of a woman are not violated.

Vision:
Women Development Cell has been formed at Ganpat University to empower women and at creating wider gender sensitivity so as to facilitate a congenial working environment.

Mission:
Women Development Cell is to create awareness among women employees so that they are not subjected to gender-specific discrimination or sexual harassment and ensure that their fundamental rights (provided by the Constitution of India) are not violated.

Objectives:

1. To create awareness amongst students about the problems faced by women of all strata due to gender issues.
2. To create an environment of gender justice where men and women work together with a sense of personal security and dignity.
3. To create awareness amongst students about the issues related to the youth, girls in particular.
4. To disseminate knowledge about rights and laws related to women.
5. To create a sense of responsibility in the students and have healthy study and work culture in all constituent colleges of the University.
6. To enhance the self- esteem and self- confidence of girl students, women faculty and staff in the University.
7. To provide opportunities to girl students and women employees to participate in and interact at conferences etc. related to gender issue.
8. To help them in knowing the importance of good health, nutrition and facilities available for them.
9. To help them in developing decision making abilities and be selfdependent & to assist them in overall development of their personality.
10. To help them in raising their voice against all kinds of discrimination.
11. To help them in changing their mind sets also to cultivate leadership skills in women.
12. To create awareness about the social problems faced by women and to work for uplifting women & to make women realize their equal responsibility in building the society.
