GKM College of Engineering & Technology Placements 2023-24-25

GKM College of Engineering and Technology (GKMCET), Chennai, has a dedicated Placement Cell with a mission to provide placement opportunities to its students. The college has formed associations with top companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, ICICI Bank, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, and L&T Infotech, etc., to arrange campus recruitment drives.

The Placement Cell starts its operations every year in the month of June with the objective of giving 100% placement opportunities. The cell interacts with different industries to schedule recruitment activities and ensures that students are placed as per their aptitudes and interests. Facilities for online tests, group discussions, and interviews are also provided by the college on campus. Apart from enabling placements, GKMCET focuses on student readiness by conducting training programs from the initial year. Such programs are formulated to improve the skills of the students and synchronize them with the needs of industries.

GKM College of Engineering & Technology's 2024-2025 BE placement season, 78 students registered, and had 12 companies taking part. As many as 65 students got placed, securing 55 offers. The compensation package varied between ₹3.6 LPA and ₹8.2 LPA, and an excellent average salary of ₹5.9 LPA with robust industry involvement.

In the 2023–2024 placement drive for the BE program of GKM College of Engineering & Technology, 93 students enrolled. Eight companies made campus visits, placing 40 students and making 25 offers. Salary offers varied between ₹3.44 LPA and ₹8 LPA with an average salary of ₹4.22 LPA, reflecting steady openings in spite of a highly competitive placement season.
