Graphic Era University admissions are based on various entrance examinations like JEE Main, GATE, CAT, XAT, MAT etc. JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration will end on March 2, 2024, and the exam is scheduled between April 4 - April 15, 2024. The Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT), established in 1993 became the Graphic Era University (GEU) Deemed to be University in 2008, by the UGC Act. The programmes here are offered in a variety of streams such as engineering, computer science, management, commerce, humanities, life science, and hotel and hospitality management, among others. Graphic Era University admission is based on both merit and entrance exam results. Accredited with a Grade A by NAAC, GEU Dehradun has also received approval from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Here are the basic eligibility requirements for getting admitted to the undergraduate courses at GEU Dehradun:

B.Tech

• Candidates must have a 60% in aggregate in their 10+2 level or equivalent degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.
• Selection in all specialisations except Biotechnology is done on the basis of the JEE Main rank.  
• Candidates willing for admission to B.Tech Biotechnology will be selected based on their 10+2 marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 

BBA, BCA, B.A (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), B.Com (Hons) and BHM

• Candidates must have a 60% in 10+2 to get admission. 
• Few of the courses will require PCB/PCM combinations in 10+2 level examination. 
• Candidates seeking admission in Information Technology under B.Sc programme must have 50% in 10+2/ equivalent from a recognised board/ institution in any stream.
• For admission to B.Com and B.Sc, candidates have to go through a personal interview (PI) round after being shortlisted based on their merit. The university conducts the whole GEU Dehradun admission procedure. 
• Candidates willing for admission to the rest of the courses will be selected according to their qualifying marks. 

Here are the basic eligibility requirements for admission in  Graphic Era University in their postgraduate courses:

M.Tech

• For M.Tech admission, candidates must have a graduation degree with 50-60%.
• The selection will be based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the GATE exam.

MCA and M.Sc

• Candidates must have a B.Sc degree from a recognised university for Biotechnology and Microbiology specialisations. 
• For Information Technology specialisation, candidates need to hold a graduation degree in a relevant discipline. 
• Candidates willing for MCA admission need to have a graduation degree in any stream with Maths at 10+2 level or at graduation level.
• For GEU admission to the M.Sc course will be based on merit. 
• Admission to MCA is also done by marks obtained in UPTU-SEE/ UTU-SEE/ qualifying exam.

MBA and MHM

• Candidates with graduation or equivalent degree from a recognised university are eligible for admission.
• Candidates seeking admission to the MHM course will be required to appear for an entrance test followed by an interview and counselling session. 
• For the GEU Dehradun MBA admission process, candidates will be shortlisted based on a merit list prepared with valid CAT/MAT/XAT scores. This will be followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) session.

• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree from any AIU/UGC/AICTE recognised university/ institution with a minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying exam or any other qualification recognised as equivalent.
• GEU Dehradun PhD admission process also requires valid scores in entrance exams. 
• The selection will be based on GATE/NET/SLET scores or written tests followed by an interview by the Department concerned. 
• In the months of May and June of the current year, applications for admission to PhD programmes in several departments at the university will be invited.
• There is a 5% mark relaxation for the SC/ST candidates to be eligible.

Graphic Era University Application Fees

The fee can be paid online via credit/ debit card or offline by a demand draft payable to Graphic Era University payable at Dehradun. The selection process for the courses offered at Graphic Era University Dehradun are different. While for some programmes the selection is based on the entrance exam scores, whereas for others the selection is based on the past academic merit of the candidates.
